Age Difference - poll

Given the choice..I would like to have a younger partner, instead of an older one. If you date someone seriously and fall in love with him/her....age difference takes a back seat.

I too beleive that females tend to like a guy older and guys seem to like girls that are younger then them. My current BF is almost 6 years older then me but we get along great!! One of the weirdest things is we say the same off the wall things AT THE EXACT SAME TIME several times a day. Even if we are just sitting there and not talking we can say the same odd comment and we just give eachother this look Its got to the point that some times its a little scary LOL We have been together for over 4 years now and I feel that its the best relationship (most healthy and least stressful relationship I've ever been in) I had one other long term relationship that lasted 5 years and that was with my daughters dad and he was just about 2 years older then me and we had alot of problems with trust arguments and ect. So I feel that even though some might say 6 years is a big difference I feel that for me its working great!

personally i like partner should be of my age!or max one year age difference!but here in india almost 90% of people have partner with 1-7 years age difference.my papa and mom have 7 year age difference.but now a day age difference is max 3 year in some place!there are very rare cases that wife elder than husband!

I think there is no role of age difference when there is a love relation. Otherwise if a normal relation is kept just like friends or well wishers there is also no role of age difference. But it obviously differs from area to area, society to society and country to country since every one is not open minded to understand this basic truth of love and non materialistic relation. People in world are rather more selfish in defining relations.

I think males generally want to have a younger partner and females like a senior partner. An age gap of as much as 10 years can be acceptable. I did not have a relationship with a big age gap. But I have seen people with considerable age gaps (8-10 years) and with very good understanding.

Its more about the Compatibility than the age difference. That doesnt mean you should marry someone who is more than 20years elders to you or somethings. What I meant is that, if you find someone with whom you can do well, then 1 or 2 years age difference doesnt matter.

I want my partner to be elder to me and being an Indian girls here generally marry guys older than them.Even i want to go by that practice. I dont have a relationship with anyone and offcourse age matters and chances of relationship breaking can occur when the girl is older than the guy. very few people disapprove with age matters and continue their relationship in a good way.

I don't like too mcuh older partner as it can lead to differences afterwarsd specially if one is too much older then it can result in emotional & physical differences.My father & mother in law have a huge age gap of around 20 years.I can see the problem it is having in the life specially of my mother in law as she is young but my father in law is really old.

Mine and my wife's age have 10 years gap. she is 10 years younger than me. i dont think this age gap to do have something with the relationship or physical contacts. But it is better to have relation with the same age group. But I am not in a position to explain why ? and I never had such relations.

i always love men older than me..hence; woman are 2 years mature than men.. could easily get along with men who are older than me and i didnt have a boyfriend younger than me. my boyfriend is 10 years older than me and we can get long so well than my past relationship..we are 7 years going and its getting stronger.. older than your age s great to be with..they tend to understand and that i can feel the security and the care..much as the love

Hi touchnshine! :) I love my partner to be older than me. They say that women mature 5 years ahead of a guy, so I want somebody who's older and well-experienced and a matured person. The biggest age gap I had was with somebody 4 years older than me. He didn't became my boyfriend but we were able to have a date together. I don't like him, though. Just see him as an older bro.
