I have been thinking about selling Avon products. I knew someone who sold Mary Kay so I know a little about how they work. Personally I think Avon expects more, but has a wider array of products. For those of you who sell, any tips, any drawbacks or pitfalls? What has worked best for you?

that is completely up to you, as long as you are prepared to put in the time to get your customers, Avon bascically sells its self anyway, its just building up your clients...

It all depends on you, I personal think most laides allready know someone that sells avon and mary kay. I use both, but I don't use much mary kay stuff anymore. I do like to see what they have each year just incase it's something I want to try, but I dont think I have been to a mary kay party in years. You should sell Tasteful Treasures, I have been doing it for 3 years and it's great. LOL no but for real if you have any questions on Tasteful Treasurs just PM me.

wow, ... definitely not for the school crowd LOL... I just looked at the site real quick. I thought at first it was a food thing. That's totally up my alley. I love to cook. But, i'm sure my husband would like me to sell that stuff. sampling is half the fun.

LOL I should have warned you. There is a food company out there with a name close to it and tons of people confuse the two. Good luck with what you pick to sell.

I have a friend that sells Mary Kay and she hates it. She stopped and switched over to AVON. Mary Kay is more expensive and harder to sell, you also have to invest more money into your business. I've been selling AVON for a few campaigns now so i'm still fairly new but I love it. AVON pretty much sells itself but you get out of it what you put into it. I had a co-worker that won a trip to Hawaii and made EXCELLENT money by selling AVON so there is definately potential. Visit my website and you could sign up and have someone call you and give you more info. www.youravon.com/mmantuano It's only $10 to start and you earn 50% earning during your first 5 campaigns.

Thanks, I think I agree about MK, but didn't want to say it. My sis-law sold MK and quit after a short while. she said it consumed her life. I really enjoy AVON. I love to talk to people and this is a great tool. Right now I just sell to family and friends. However, I am starting a new part time job where I will come in contact w/ a LOT of people on a daily basis. I plan on wearing as much avon as possible and have kits ready to hand out.
