It's Booked, I'm Off D-Day October 10th

I've done it! I walked into the travel agents today, cool and calm and I enquired about Rhodes and straight away before I changed my mind I booked!
TWO WEEKS in Rhodes 10th October!
So now I've got a date! It is more 'assertive' to say that I am leaving on 10th October rather than I'm leaving in October, sounds much better doesn't it!
I fly from Gatwick and I said to the woman I was scared of flying and if I don't book there and then I would only let the flying put me off. So she gave me complimentary lounge tickets so I can get free booze, refreshments, tv, showers etc, so at least I can have a double whisky or two to put my nerves at rest!
I will travel from my mums so I will have to leave a couple of days earlier.
So as from 8th October Wolfie will 'vanish' but don't worry I will return once I get myself sorted and set up, I will have to go without the internet for some time but that's a small price to pay
So that's it. It's all done and booked, now I've got to sort my passport out and cross that off the list too!
Not that I'm counting but it's 76 days to go!

Well Sweet I already knew that lol as a Mutual Friend told me on the Phone today and yes I am very happy for you but I will miss you
I really mean that Sweet and I hope you will keep in touch with our Friend so that she can keep me informed how you are doing

Thank you my friend, hugs, well I've found out there is an internet cafe near the hotel I'm staying in, so I will be able to post in Rhodes! However when I return from Rhodes I won't have the internet at my parents or until I move out and find a place of my own, but what I'll do is ask my big sis a big favour to let my friends know I'm ok! Wink, wink, hint, hint LOL!

There is a little internet cafe beside the hotel I checked so I've got no excuse not to pop in and say I'm fine! Ooooh I'm so excited! If I can put up with 'him' for over 3 years getting on a plane should be a piece of cake! I'm convincing myself here LOL!

that's really so exciting wolfie... i bet you can't wait for the day to come... i and my hubby will also go back to my home country at the end of november until mid of december... 2 weeks holiday for us as well after more than 2 years we didn't go back to our home country... i can't wait as well and i and my hubby will definitely plan to have a good time there...

You go Wolfie- Yes it sounds much better now- a definite date! You are on your way! Great- a lounge pass- for free booze- now you are all set- You will be fine- I’m sure you will be missed here- but can’t wait to hear all about it after! How exciting- really a new beginning! Away for all abuse- start off fresh – I wish you much happiness--- but at least we still have you for the next 76 days!

I'm off to my retreat next week for 14 days and won't have access to internet, but there is internet access in Rhodes so I will try and drop in! Thanks my friend, no more controlling, no more manipulative and no more mental abuse, I'll raise a glass to that!

Good on for you wolfie, way to go, but please go to your doctor and get something that will relax you as if you get scared and drink to much, that plane will be taking off with out you and no refund. They do not allow anyone on board that they suspect may have had to much to drink, it is classified as a safety issue. I have seen some pretty mean people get drunk on planes and they, are taken away in handcuffs at the destination and brought back to their place of origin. So do not self sabotage your self. You have worked and planed so hard do not let a fear get you grounded. I understand your fear, and the only answer is it is a lot safer to get in that plane than it is getting from your mums house to the airport, if you can keep that thought in mind I made it from Mums house to here the rest is going to be the best part, and Wolfie it is incredible, the view and being able to see for hundreds of miles is just fabulous. I love to be on a plane around Christmas time as you get to see the whole city lite up. it is glorious. Talk about a birds eye view. Do not let your fear keep you on the ground, you have overcome so much it is only a few more steps to freedom.

I know the statistics prove that it is far safer to be on a plane than driving! I am not a drinker anyhow and will probably take my IPod instead as music relaxes me more than drink does. I do like the take off, but it's the landing I hate! Thanks my friend for your continued support x

So- now you leave for Rhodes for two weeks- are you going to come back and stay with your parents for a short time then move on (i know you said that wasn't an option) or are you just going to pick up and go somewhere else and just wing it????
I give you a lot of credit- I don't think I could do something like that-- I am very proud of you having seen what you have been through these past months- you are well on your way to starting a new life and I wish nothing bu the best for you and am looking forward to your story when you get settled!!!!

Exactly my dear friend, I will return to my parents temporarily then I will go up to the area I plan to live in, stay in a B&B first, then find a job, once I get a job then I get a place to live (Can't get a place to live without a job) it will be by the end of the year that I will be settled hopefully! And yes I will definitely put my story up, I think I should have created a blog or something, but this site is my passion and so are my dear friends who have supported me through the bad times and will share with me the good times that will be mine to keep!

Oh that sounds soooo exciting Wolfie..I hope by then we will retire early lol..Just login to some internet cafe while you are there just in case we have to send our forms off within seven days lol.I mean the pension thingy..I bet you are so excited..I am just seeing you there get your long awaited freedom away from a grumpy flatmate lol. Oh wow, October 10 is actually a good date for the Chinese (double 10). Seems like you will be pretty much hooked and real busy for 76 days before your great escape. Better give yourself a shot or two before going up the plane and this will help you settle well and nicely. Enjoy and don't howl loudly, lol!

It is so exciting, wolfie. I almost feel as though I will be taking the trip with you. I just know that you're going to love it. The complimentary lounge tickets were a real bonus. Use them to your advantage. Believe me, the time will fly, and your departure date will be her before you know it. I will wait until a later date to wish you a Bon Voyage!

wow you're so lucky you get to go on a 2-week vacation! have loads of fun and take lots of pics! wish i could take a long time off from work and go for a holiday. lucky you, i bet you can't wait! but don't worry, time flies by pretty fast, and by the time you know it, you'll be busy packing for your vacation. take care :)
