Setting Up a Home Office or Network

Ok I admit it I having some real problems with it. On my puter it shows the proper network connections but..... Says Network Path not found Grrr On my laptop Shows only my laptop of course on my laptop State on my puter portable not accesible Might not have permission to use this network resource Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated Pulling my hair out here Losing it big time Me thinks Ihate puters LOL GRRRR Wendy

what operating system are you running? xp home won't network with each other. you'll need additional hardware and software for that.

Sorry Operating System is WindowsXP Pro I believe It recognizes the workgroups on both my laptop and regular pc. Just not recognizing each other. Gee I hope that makes sense LOL Puter illiterate (sp??) I am Wendy

I am sorry for the long waits in between responses but I have to get to work again(yuch)LOL I am setting it up via a cable modem The laptop works great on the wireless system Still unable to get either puter to recognize the workgroups Wendy PS Appreciate your help I surely do
