In our India mostly consumed cereal will be wheat only than rice. Hope you were of south india using lot of cereals for cooking due to your climate conditions. In north india less cereals due to our climate.

Hello friend, I am form Latvia and the main food in our country is potatos with fish and cottage cheese. It is very tasty and interesting food and is not expansive, so everyone can afford it. Also we love to eat dark bread.

Hello Vani, I am also from south India. I live in Kerala. As you stated, rice is our basic grain. We make oure breakfast with rice flour (powder), our luch are full coursed and rice based, and dinner also is rice based. Not that we never use any other thing. Once in a way we make some wheat based food like chappathi, poori etc. Thank you Vani.

Good question. I'm not sure what the "main" food is in America, but if I had to guess, I'd say it was beef. I'm sorry to say, a lot of Americans are fat. I'm happy not to be one of them. :)

I am from the Philippines and rice can not be removed from the dining table as the main food. i grew up eating lots of rice everyday. If you are from a tropical country carbohydrates is very important for energy consumption.

In America, pizza and burgers are probably the most popular dishes. I rarely eat either of these. I only eat veggie burgers and veggie pizza (without cheese) usually homemade.
