Do you tan? If so do you tan outside with good ol mother nature or go to tanning beds/spray on tan etc? Or would you rather use self tanning lotions or keep it all pale like casper? :)

I don't tan in the sun, I just get dark freckles and red skin. A few minutes in the sun and I look like like someone splashed dark paint on me. I like to make my own self-tanning lotions. It looks very natural and I like the control of how much of the tanner I put in the lotion. If I put a lot in I can get a good tan overnight. If I put just a little in I can build it up over a few days. Whatever works best for me at the time.

I have never heard of someone making their own self tanning lotions. Too cool if you can make them and they work with little after effects!

I have really pale skin and no matter how long I'm out in the sun or in a tanning bed there is no way I'll tan, I just burn and then when that heals I'm back to pale and every time I've ever tried the lotions and sprays and what not I just turn yellow, not orange but yellow, so I'll stay pale.

Yes - everything but my arms seem to do this exact thing! Burn - peel - pale. So aggrivating, and if I use a tanning product religiously I turn yellow. As it is - I use the tanning lotion more to keep from being blindingly pale rather than actually tan :)

I do not need to put on tanning lotion or expose my self a bit under the sun to get a tan. We, Filipinos, have a natural tanned skin. =) Most of my countrymen would like to get fair or white skin thus many here are more on bleaching or skin whitening program. Funny eh?

im trying to work on it right now :) it seems like having white skin is plainly boring rather than haviong tanned skin makes you look like gold and sexy. Its a much more daring natural color than ever ive seen white as plainly boring right now and i really wonder why some girls really put an effort on becoming whiter than they are right now. I just think its silly but anyway it depends if the look matches with them :) though i haven't seen a tanned korean.

ha - now that you mention it neither have I. However I have talked to one who was - as you say... working on making her skin paler. It's amazing how unhappy some are with their looks. Darker skin not only looks healthier than washed out pale skin but also hides flaws and allows the person to appear slightly thinner. For us curvy girls - this is nice ;)

I don't tan regularly. I only get a luscious tan when Im on the beach during summer. It's fun to have a tan but when the burnt skin peels, it's not nice anymore...

Yes, I don't really tan at all to protect my skin. If anything I wear sunblock on days that don't require it lol I used to go all casper like but realized it was starting to look more pastey than simply pale. So now I use lotions that have added darkening agents. Not the type that give you instant tan - more like... color but still pale lol

I am a middle aged male who is very pale and wife thinks I need to darken skin some for the summer months. I would like to appear tanned all over from head to toe, and wife even thinks my genitals are white as a ghost and they need darkened a little. If I chose the tanning bed route how could I get an even tan, even genitals, without a burn? If I chose a sunless route, what would you recommend for me to use and can it be used on my genitals. How would you apply it so you get even dark appearance?
