What's your usual chinese takeaway order and why

Whenever we order chinese food, we tend to order the same foods each time. I think this is because we don't like to spend money on dishes if no-one is going to like them, but sometimes it makes me feel very unadventurous.
We usually order a combination of the following.
- sweet and sour ribs, special fried rice, spring roll, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour chicken balls, crispy beef in chilli sauce.
Well that's made me hungry and want a chinese now.

I love ordering lo mein, crab rangoon, egg roll and general Tso's chicken. Well, I also tend to order the same stuffs since they are my favorites. However, sometimes when I dine in a buffet-style Chinese restaurant, I also try other food in menu just to have an idea what they taste like but if I will have it delivered, I'll stick to the food I know.

I love the General Tso's chicken and shrimp fried rice.I normally don't order different items either.I don't want to waste money and food.

I like to order anything with veggies... and I do try to change it up and experiment. I'm part Chinese but I don't know what most of the things on the menu are (haha). If we don't like something it does seem like a bit of a waste, but I say, "Don't knock it til you try it!!" So I have to try it.
I usually get "Mu Gu Gai Pan"... it's a mix of lots of different veggies and meat. I also love sweet and sour ribs, too.
I do suggest, try several chinese places in your area. Some places are SO GOOD but other places, the same dish tastes blah.
Mmmm I am hungry now!!!

Yeah I quite agree, we have two chinese takeaways near me and one is superb but the other is dire. I plan to start going to chinese buffet style restaurants that allow you to eat all you can blah blah. That way I can try things from the menu that I wouldn't ordinarily be tempted to.

My usual order is chicken and broccoli, vegetable lo mein, and crab rangoon. Those are my three favorites. Sometimes I get chicken and mushrooms, but I don't like it as much as the chicken and broccoli. The place where I get chinese food uses chicken of lesser quality in the chicken and mushroom dish. I usually can't eat about half the chicken in this, so I mainly get it for the mushrooms.

I LOVE chinese food. I usually cycle through these choices, general tso, orange chicken, coconut chicken, tai chen chicken, steak a la steak, curry chicken, chicken with peppers and tomatoes. I'm so hungry now LOL! Those are some of my faves, oh and with white rice =)
