A smile is a curve that sets everything straight. I try to smile while on work coz when you smile theres a tendency to open the mouth wider and it would sound better on the other end of the phone and would sound kind than not smiling at all. Most often I dont smile, I only smile when I remember. I try to smile even if my subscribers wont see me because in a way it affects the way I sound.

Yes smile and loudly laugh (lol) has different act with mouth - I smile when talk over phone but not to show that person who is other end. In fact smiling come naturally hearing talk or topics from other end. When any reason become strong for laugh then we laugh and both end can hear and understand. I will expect all mylot friend can smile and laugh each day and no sorrow come to them for crying..

I smile all the time, except when I have very good reason not to, which isn't often. I'm sure some people think I'm crazy, but I'm also sure it helps our disposition.

Yes it's funny how you can usually tell if someone is smiling when you are on the phone. It makes the voice sound "happier".

They say it takes a greater number of facial muscles to frown than it does to smile. Smiling is physically less exhausting than glowering.

Better smile my friend, it also makes us look younger, with a bright face that could also bring light to others.

This discussion is so timely because I just read an article a couple of days ago that said that when Holiday Inn was interviewing about 400 people for jobs, they had a rule that any applicant who smiled less than 4 times during an interview would be immediately disqualified. Holiday Inn sees a smile as crucial to customer service and the welfare of their business. I know that it sure makes a difference in the way we deal with people.

Thats a unique way of hiring applicants, but very much realistic whimsy for its nice to have a natural customer service who can give a natural smile.

i love to see people smiling! it brightens up the day. everyone should smile more! i wish people would smile at each other. i love to smile, unless i'm feeling really really down or cheesed off. there are people at work who just don't smile and i feel like asking them why can't they just "donate" a few smiles to their colleagues, even though we're not working in the same division? is that hard? and it's weird too, like when you wanna smile to someone but they don't smile back..but if you're the one who doesn't smile, they call you arrogant. oh well. keep smiling though!:D

I went to Broadcasting school where I learned that "If you act enthusiastic you will be enthusiastic". Its the same theory about smiling basically. Personally I think if you smile it doesn't always make you feel happy. I'd rather smile because I'm happy than smile because people can "hear it in my voice" or "smile back".

A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give. -author unknown-

i always remember this sentence, don't cry because it is over, smile because it happened! yes, smile,no matter what awkward things or tough time..smile,things would become not that critical, and your mood, your state would be purified and be comfortable. smile everyday when you get up,smile to everybody in this world, and learn to smile to yourself, which can always gain confidence and encouragement. anyway, realise your smile, and remember to keep it.

I smile a lot, it expresses lightly towards people around me, smiling radiates a nice and warm aura towards the people i speak to. smiling makes use of less muscles than frowning. so you better not pout, you better not frown, smile always cause Santa Claus is coming to town.

Hi there.. I always smile, even when I'm angry or hurt.. One of my ex colleagues told me on my last day at work "I'm gonna miss you, with your smile you make the hardest things look so easy". This was the sweetest thing ever said to me by a colleague.. For me I feel more comfortable when I talk to someone and he/she smiles to me.. Thanks for the very nice topic :)
