What would you prefer to be your first child, a boy or a girl? Why?

I would like my first child to be a boy. I cherish the idea of my son to be a big brother to his siblings. Someone who would take good care of his sisters and be a buddy to his brothers. Also, I like seeing little boys dressed up like mature men, they look so cute.

Are you ever been afraid that they would not grow up as you expect them to be? I have this thinking that boys are harder top upbring than girls.

I always wanted a boy first. For the simple fact that growing up I always wished I had a big brother. I got my wish and had a boy first, as a matter of fact I had 3 boys and no girls!

Congrats!! I thought you are a HE. Well I guess most guys would prefer a boy while woman prefers a girl. I already have a girl now but if given another chance, I still prefer a girl. I have this thinking that boys are harder to upbring, though girls have higher maintenance.

Well, for me, I always wanted to have a baby girl first and God answered my prayers. My girl is 8 this year and she helps to take care of her little brother whenever I'm busy.

For my first child I thought it would be a boy because I wanted to have a son to carry my last name. But I was so happy when my daughter was born. Then with my second child I thought it would be a girl as a playmate for my daughter but still hoped for a boy to pass on my name. I was so happy that my first son was born. Then with my third child I hoped and thought I was having another girl. I pulled out all of my daughter's old dresses. But a part of me hoped for a boy as it would be close in age to my other son for a playmate and one more person to pass the name too. (I was the last person with the name with no males to carry it on) I was thrilled to have my third child a boy! I think it was meant for them to be the gender they were when they were born and am happy to have them. I wish I could have one more (but can't) I would really want another daughter to even things up here HEHE Vicki

it really does not matter what would it be. as long as it is healthy. i will (once) be happy with whatever i get. i can have the same fun (lol) with each gender.

yeah, I think you are tright, health is more important than the gender of the child.

Hey. I have two children, a boy and a girl. Before I had children I use to say to my cousins, my first baby will be a boy and my second baby a girl... It just so happened, that our first was a boy and our second was a girl lol...
