What do you do with all your responses you have to a particular discussion you have made on Mylot, especially when you come onto Mylot to seek advice or support? Do you print out the responses so that you have a hard copy to read? Do you copy and paste responses and keep them on your computer files? As you know I act on the advice and find the support I have been given over the past very very supportive and it would be great that once I get myself fully sorted, to print out the discussions and all the great responses I have got so when I am old and grey I can look back and compare the difference in me now as to when I was a few weeks back even Or is it best to forget about all the depressing discussions I've made in the past and move on? I have noticed a big change in my feelings and discussions over the last couple of weeks and it's like WOW what a difference! It's like I'm a totally different person. I could even make a bestseller out of it The Life Of Brian but that title has already been taken Seriously tho' what do you do with old discussions and do you ever print out responses to your discussions to help you therapeutically or to remind you that you are doing the right thing etc?

Very true, that's half the trouble with my depression because I look at the regrets in the past and the bitter decision I made, so maybe once I leave to forget the past but my friends will be there for me and that's all that matters, and if I ever get down again, I'm sure my friends will say look at what you've done, achieved etc and that will be enough xxxx

I'd love the idea. But this will use up more catridges, papers, power, etc if we have to print them and get hard copies. And we are being concerned about global warming.lol. Why not just save it unless we are sure the 'book' will be a big hit after publishing.I am glad you have changed to a more better person after joining mylot. All in all, mylot entertains me the most.I jst have mylot and nothing else. I can spend my whole weekend reading, smiling, replying on it.I feel proud sometimes when i am being ackowledged for my replies. I'll just keep coming here and read my all time best responses i'd made, keep posting more cooments, study in deep all the weird stuffs people have on their mind until i get too old .But bio.? long way to go.

Very good point my friend, on the ecology value of it, more paper, means more trees. I think I will keep it on computer and then use back ups, or stick with my diaries.

In the beginning, wolfie, I just deleted all of them. Then it occurred to me recently that I should probably be saving them for future reference, so I started saving them all in my computer. I don't have a printer or scanner. If, in the future, you decide that going back over them might be painful in some way, then you could always decide to get rid of them.

I keep a personal diary so that is enough but I do really appreciate the friends I have on this site as well as the tremendous support I receive

Hello there Brian! Well I do not think I have yet posted a discussion in which I ask myLot members to help me with any problems I may be having. So no I do not print them out or anything, I just simply respond to every one of them :-D I am quite glad to hear that you are feeling a lot better now! I think that maybe you should forget about the past because possibly reading that in the future when you are old man might actually make you depressed again. This is just what I think. Maybe you should try and print out all of the discussions and responses in which you discuss something happy, such as this one! So if you are ever sad or depressed for any reason you can re-read them and hopefully they will actually help you again in the future! Best wishes! :-)

I do actually keep a daily diary anyhow, plus of late I have kept an additional one to note the comments of my housemate so that when the time does come to go and if I am having any second thoughts, I'll read that diary and know instantly YES I'm doing the right thing! Thank you my friend, good points!

Oh, well that is a very good thing to do, keeping a diary of your thoughts and what you housemate does or tells you. I hope that everything goes well for you wolfie ;-)

I do not print any of my discussions or save them on a files on my pc. I however do visit and reply to all my past responses, discussions I do this when I do not find a topic of my intrest to reply too or when I have time. The advice that is given to me on mylot I do find useful and do use it when possible.

I just go back and look at them on mylot- unless it is a recipe or a list of what something is good for- like all the uses of vinegar- or even a craft and how to make it- I print them out- All teh good advice I leave here on the board and go back and read it when necessary-

I have not printed any of my discussions. Yet I do re-visit them often to see if there has been any new activity on the discussion. I enjoy "surveying" others for ideas, support, and advice. I have received some good advice, but then there have been those with terrible input as well.
