When are you most creative?

Can you write better when it's quiet or do you prefer a little noise to bring out your creativity? Personally I find it hard to write unless it's 3 in the morning and you can almost hear nothing...

I prefer quiet and solitude. I wish I could find some of that around here. With the kids home for the summer that is just not happening. They want to go to Canada's Wonderland on Monday and I am hedging as to whether I should go or not. Physically I can't stand the whole day out in the heat like that (it's going to be really hot and muggy) and I won't ride a whole lot of rides (also because of my health), so I'm thinking of sending them off without me so I can have some peace and quiet. But we have done nothing as a family yet this summer. It is a sorry state of affairs. I am up late at night (early morning) but I am usually too tired to think about writing.

I am at my best in the morning. I can write better and think faster, well because my mind is still fresh and my brain muschle is not exhausted yet from work.

Hey. My creativity side kicks in when I get inspire by something, it could be from watching something I saw on TV or a friend might have talked about something, or asked me to make something, thats when I start to get creative, weaving bags and baskets are one of many crafts that inspire me to get my creative side out to make or create something.

I believe that I am most creative when I am challenged or I'm inspired by a person, event or situation. Whenever I'm pressed with time, I tend to think fast and how...but I know this contributes to stress so I'm trying to avoid the rush as much as possible. That's true...I too am inspired and would prefer with a background music while working on something...in fact I do my school work (I'm an educator) in front of the TV!

I enjoy writing anytime during the day. I am most inspired when I am driving to work. I keep a voice recorder with me to record my ideas. I have been writing since I was 15 and soon I will have my first full book published. I like writing on many different subjects which includes, but is definitely not limited to: science fiction/fantasy, religion, historical non-fiction and politics both national and international. All-in-all, I do like to have a little noise, but not much, when I am writing.

I normally write best at night, right before I go to sleep. I guess my mind is wandering. I also wake up at night and write things down or write early in the morning before the kids get up.

I am creative when I am in the mood for it. It has nothing to do with what's going on around me.

I write and create best when it's about 2AM. Usually I have some ideas, go to sleep and the ideas materialize into a story, a letter, or something that is close to a finished product. I generally like to write when husband and my cat are sleeping. Otherwise, they constantly interupt me.
