Instead of focusing on our entire life, lets focus instead on just the past year. What has given you the most pleasure in the past year?

Gee, I didn't have to think hard on this one, hahaha. It was my oldest daughter announcing that she was pregnant with her first child. She's 31 and has spent so many, many years in medical school becoming a Dr. Then she had to wait for her hubby to finish up med school before they would even think about having children. Now that they're both Dr's and settled in at their vet clinic it was time to think of children. The baby was just born this morning 2 months early. She had gotten kicked by a draft horse she was operating on and it loosened the placenta. After a prayerful 2 days, the little one is here, and is doing fine (even though he'll be in the hospital for 2 months.) Even though it's been a tense couple of days, this has given me much pleasure knowing they have the child they always wanted, and that it will survive without problems! I'm a happy gram today:-)

Oh Joyful, that is wonderful!!! I am so glad that your grandson is going to be okay and that mother is doing well too. It isn't everyday that one hears of a pregnant woman going into early labor due to being kicked by a horse. That is so tragic. Enjoy your new family addition!!

This year, and during my entire life, I have received the most pleasure from my relationship with my fiance. He proposed to me a month ago, and now we are planning our wedding. We are very excited about our future together, and can't wait to get married.

Well, this isn't much of a good year, as there's been too many bad things that have happened to me and the people around me. I guess that I could say that the best thing that has happened to me this is is that I stayed alive and didn't die when I thought I was in the hospital dying. The whole experience was a wake-up call for me, to get in shape, start eating healthier, getting things off my chest, sticking up for myself, etc. So, I guess that things happen for a reason, no matter how good or bad!!!

Watching my son learn new things! This time last year he was sooo tiny, and pretty much slept all the time, seeing as he was born last May. So it's amazing to me how much he has grown and learned in that time. He says so many words, and he's walking so well, and he's just such an amazing little creature! =) So I'd definitely say that's what has giving me the most pleasure in the past year, having the chance to watch him develop and be a part of his life.

Ooh I couldn't pick just one thing as several good things have happened in my life in the last year. The first thing was starting a new job last July 2006, I have now been here over a year, just had a BIG payrise and haven't regretted one single day that I left my last job to come here. I have a wonderful boss who relies on me a great deal and is always praising me for the work I do (which is very important and shows what a good boss he is) even down to him grumbling that he doesn't know how he'll cope without me when I go on holiday later this year for 3 weeks. The other major thing is that hubby and I spent about £20,000 refurbishing our home and it's like a brand new home now. People who've been round to visit since the work was completed a couple of months ago have been stunned and very complimentary about how nice and classy it all looks - which to us is just as worthwhile as us feeling so cosy in our newly refurbished home. Thanks for posting this cool discussion and giving me a chance to appreciate the good things in my life out loud (or in writing LOL). xx

I think I would have to say my family. I didn't know how a child and a husband would complete me until It happened. So, I owe my pleasure to them somewhat.

"Watching" my daughter be a mom, or spending time with my grandkids. Either one will do. I get a lot of pleasure from family oriented things in general. Like bowling with my brother and sister in law when we went to visit them. Being in church with them, or with close friends. I guess lots of things bring me pleasure, when related to family.

I have gotten the most pleasure this year by gaining knowledge to become a nurse! It is a wonderful feeling of accomplishment. I have worked and worked at it. I have only my exit exam from the program to go (on Wednesday), then on to state boards! Yay!

The most pleasure this year is my son moving out and me having the quiet time. I am disabled and spend days alone when my hubby is at work. I am finding out I like the quite time. I spend time on the computer, I like mylot and my other money making sites, but most of all the quiet is what gives me pleasue.

I would say moving back down to Stockholm after two years in the northern parts of Sweden. Now I'm back with my friends and family, I got a great job and an apartment I love. Everything fell into place as soon as I moved down, so thanks to that my life is wonderful.
