Hello Feona1962:-) That is an interesting question. Let's specualte based on available data. The are over 1,221,510 discussions started on mylot. The first two discussions are deleted, the 3rd one has survived. It was a discussion 1 year ago on the topic "how to transfer pic from digital camera into microcontroller" by 'ruzaini', who probably never came back again after posting this discussion because he or she has only 1 post credited. I discussion page takes at least 4 pages on 8x11 sheet of paper i.e. if there are no extra comments made, and the comments are very short one. So lets assume that one discussion takes on average 15 pages. It makes total volume to be 18,322,650 pages of discussion. Now just imagine how much these over an 18 million pages could do?

You are right Feona, that I worked on bare minimum as such. In fact there are lots and lots of discussions with more than 10 pages and many, many lengthy and bac and forth comments in them. So yes, it's possible that the acutal figure is more than 1 billion pages:-)

This is very interesting kamran12. My husband was guessing about 1 billion pieces of paper...you have only the bare minimum worked out here...I am glad you worked it out this way..Always glad to give others something to think about...I had to have my husband figure it out because my brain just doesn't function on that level..*smiles*...Thank you very much for this information..

I think so.. There are alot of discussions here on mylot.. I'm glad it's not on paper though thank god for keyboards and computers huh! I mean if I had to actually write this stuff my hand would hurt for years.. I don't think I'd be doing much of writing.. Wait my fingers do hurt from typing so much sometimes so it's really not so different!

Hi Feona, Well, I guess it would depend on the size of the font. lol. I think we would have to cut down quite a few trees. Of course the printer companies would be very happy selling all those cartriges. Take care, Terry

due to lots of discussion here, I think it could wrap the Earth once only because Earth is so large to be covered that much times.

It all depends on how large your font is. It can be as little as a piece of paper, If you use unbelievably, extraordinary and over the extreme small sized font. May b the size of an electron? It can also be as big as one letter per page. That way, not even wrapping around the whole solar system a few times is enough to use up all the papers. You might even be able to plug up a black hole with that much paper. hahahaha, just kidding.
