Do you think that wind mill driven generators are going to be the way to go?

I personally think that we need to produce more non carbon producing electricity with wind mills and solar panels as well as any other types of generators that uses nature and does not destroy nature. What do you think and why do you think that way?i

I agree with you totally, I just wish that solar panels and the wind mills didn't cost so much to buy. Yeah they are worth it and pay for themselves iin the long run but alot of people doesn't have that kind of extra cash laying around. I would love to see people using these instead of using things that take away from the earth and depleteing it of its sources. Now if the government bought the stuff needed and fixed everythig up the way it is supposed to and we pay them back in low monthly installments then I think that would be great and very invironment friendly.

I believe that as the technology gets better and more units are sold then the prices will become more affordable. But the oil companies and other utility companies will try to keep that from happening because it will take away fro their CEO"s "Golden Parachutes".That does not even take into account the hundreds and thousands of jobs lost because there is nothing for the employees to do any more.

My area does have wind mills and many people are using solar panels. Some of my friends have purchased electric cars; however, they will have to cost less for me to seriously consider getting one. The local college has a place to recharge, so hopefully in the future that will be my car. I think its important to save the environment for the next generation. My area has a good recycling program and picks up items from the curb bins.
