I just had this crazy dream... Everything in my life was basically the same as it is now.. I was living in this apartment, but I was dating my ex-boyfriend instead of my current one. I was fighting with him and he was doing all these really immature things that drove me crazy (like he did when we dated) and I finally just broke up with him. Instead of him getting upset he just said he figured it would happen and wanted to break up too. I was sad and felt like I had no idea what to do... if I should/could move out or if I would have to sleep in the same room as him for a whole year. Then zombies with knives started killing children at a party I went to and it started to make no sense from there. But anyway! This dream really disturbed me for some reason. I woke up and it felt so real I was kind of confused and realized duh.. I was dreaming. I was like, "Damn, my ex was a horrible boyfriend and my current is so great, why am I always fighting with him?" Now I feel really bad about starting arguments over nothing and making him feel bad. I guess I needed to dream about my ex for that to happen? Lol I dunno, but it was like a "wake up call" for me.. zing Okay whatever. So... have you ever had a dream that changed the way you saw your life? Have you ever been really disturbed or bothered by a dream?

Yes, I am having weird dreams like that all the time. Going back to previous relationships I had years ago, and then getting in my car driving off on a journey and arriving on a bicycle.. LOL. Just the ego-mind, playing lots of tricks. Dreams that changed my life? No not really. The only thing that changed my life was my Zen and dreams are seen now for the illusions they really are. :-)

Decoding dreams ..I think I have wasted quite a lot of time and thinking over it. I would emphasize that dreams are just fanciful and would never happen in real life . It is an aberration of the human mind . I would disagree with Sigmund Freud 's analysis of dreams .

Um, well, a month ago my husband woke up and told me he dreamed my niece was pregnant. Her baby girl will be one on August 9th. Yesterday I found out that my niece is in fact pregnant.... one month pregnant. So I beg to differ with you, some dreams are predictions, some are warnings, some are messages.

I am of the opinion that our subconsious mind is working out situations we are dealing with in our lives when we dream. The thing is, in real life we do and think whatever we need to, but our subconscious mind speaks in stark reality about how we really feel about things. I have had a recurring dream that I am riding in the back seat of a car that is going down the road and the driver's seat is empty! In retrospect, I realized that at the times I had that dream I was dealing with stressful situations in my life that seemed out of my control. In the dream, the car never wrecked. It always stopped just short of some peril that loomed ahead. I think it was God's way of telling me to relax because he was really in charge of the situation and everything will be fine. Maybe you are harboring a fear that your old relationship( bad feelings, unresolved issues, feeling still trapped by them) will destroy your new(baby) relationship somehow.

I have had some really nasty dreams. Some were apocalyptic dreams, others were dreams about comic books, some were dreams about school, things like that. One the apocalypse dreams was so bad I still felt like I was in it afterwards.

Wow—I am glad that your dream made you realize how much you have in your current boyfriend. Isn’t it funny the things that make us realize that what we have is good- instead of finding fault with it- Nope dreams do not do this for me- but other peoples lives do- I’m constantly reminded how lucky I am- I just need to be reminded every once in a while- I bet your boyfriend will be happy you had that weird dream!

It could be that you both have unresolved issues with one another, you might be harboring bad feelings & have unanswered questions. Was there any real closure to you & your ex boyfriends relationship???

No, I don't think I have a soft spot for him at all. In my dream he was really upsetting me and I think it was a pretty good portrayal of how he was is real life.

As of now once I had a terrible dream about losing one of my nearest person. That dream troubled me for quite some time. Though this discussion is more about personal experiences about dreams but I would take this opportunity to express my thoughts on reasons of dreams and it's impact on us. I don't know how correct I am, but somehow I feel that experiencing a dream, either a good dream or a nightmare, has some relations with the state of the mind we are and also with our inner-self. By inner-self I mean what kind of persons we are internally. May be a person with a positive frame of mind, who always think and act positively will dream god. This is as per my thinking which is based on my personal experience. As I find myself as a person who keeps worrying about even small things and may be that is the reason my dreams are more on worries. But overall there is no denying that it leaves it's impact on us.

I had a dream that really changed my life and the way i think about my role in it. my parents passed away back in 94. and for some reason every time i dreamed about my mother we were always fighting. and that bothered me so much because never fought when she was alive. she has done a lot of things that i didn't like, but arguing was something you just didn't do with your parents. it was a respect thing. any way, one day i wanted to tap a nap on the couch. I had a dream that in heaven there was a big all party going on. people running around getting all dressed up. men dressed looking so very sharp, women doing there make up. i just walked along and thought wow this is so beautiful. and as i walked down a hall way i saw the most handsome man in a beautiful green suit and this really sharp hat. it was my Daddy. and man oh man he looked so handsome. i saw to him and he picked me up and gave me the biggest hug. he said baby girl what you doing here it's not time. i told him i didn't know why i was here. he smiled at me and said i know why you are here. but you can only stay a little while, let me show you something. i asked what was going on, everyone all dressed up. he said today is the day that some angels get there wings. i said oh that is so great daddy, did you get your wings? he said not yet, but i am working on it. but let me show you something. he take me into this big room with women all standing around this one person. we walked up to her and it was my mother. she looked beautiful just liked she always looked. she looked at me and said i knew you would come. she said i know you can't stay, but i wanted to let you know that i am ok, and you don't need to worry about me any more. Today i get my wings and I am going to be ok. she kissed me, and i woke up. I cried all that day and called everyone that i knew and told them about that dream i had. and ever since then, i never had a dream of my mother and i fighting.

They say that when we are dreaming our soul is travelling that is why when we wake up we feel that our dreams actually happened. I felt that a thousand times, actually i had dream that a person inject me on my arms, and i felt the blood coming out,and even the injection, i felt the hurt. It is a weird feeling, but the good things is it is just a dream, and we still had a chance to wake up.

I use to have horrible nightmeres when it was that time of the month. I also had lots of nightmeres when I was pregnant with both of my kids. Now I do not have them very often which I am glad of that. Isn't it great you have such a wonderful boyfriend. Rejoice in your good forturne. We have to learn by our mistakes. Now try to change, if not you might find yourself alone. I see you have a new Abatar photo I like it. Have a good day

I have the same dream as you had. Sometimes I dream my ex-gf. It could be the reason that I haven't forgot her completely. Anyway my ex has been in my life. It is not so easy to get her forgotten though.

I cannot recall a specific one right now, but I can recall that it has happened. Usually, though, it is some kind of a dream that leaves me a sense of peacefulness, and resolves something that I am dealing with in my life. Actually it sounds like that was the result of your dream, too. You resolved the fact that you are treating your present boyfriend like he is the same as the old one, even though you know he is not the same.

I've had a few dreams that have altered my world view. Although, now so much later I barely recall them. But I do remember a dream in which my parents tried to keep me trapped in Hell... Another interesting dream was one in which I conversed with the wise old spider queen...

i hate those kind of dreams that seem so real. i get flash back dreams alot and those are the worse. i dream baout things that happened when i was a kid. i wake up crying or scared. my poor husband has to hold me sometimes or if he is sleeping i curl up tight to him and try to fall back alseep. then there are those that you think something has happened to your kids and you jump out of ed and race to there room to find them sleeping and all you can do is sit and think thank you thank you thank you. i do dream of my ex from time to time and i wake up and think about him. i hate those dreams as well cause they are never bad dreams. it makes me stop and think of times we had shared and how nice it was. then i feel bad cause i do love my husband and i think your are a horriable person to be thinking about your ex when you have such a great husband. soemtimes i wish i didnt dream at all when i sleep it would be easier.

Yeah, it's happened a lot actually. I have a lot of weird dreams, haha! Most of the time I just dismiss them as being a weird dream and think nothing of it. But sometimes I have that occasional dream that makes me really grateful for my son or thankful for my husband.
