Do you think we should have tougher sentences on crimes?

I certainly do. I think that every person that commits murder should be sentenced to death. I mean the jails are already crowded. For robberry or assault with a deadly weapon like 30 years. Will tougher sentences lower crime statistics? And what about torture? I mean if someone murders someone why not make them suffer for the pain they caused the relatives of who he killed? I defitnately think they should have torture. And yet I saw on the news once that they were complaining about the crappy food the received and someone agreed with them saying they should get crappy food. Why should they get good tasty food? They don't deserve it. They expect to be treated like royalty or what? Someone people that are in jail are just a disgrace and waste of a life. What are your thoughts on this? Remember these are just opinions don't get all offended if you don't agree then you don't agree.
