you have probably noticed as well how many filipinos on mylot, i thought this would be a good discussion. Is it true that manny paquiao is a mega celebrity in the phillipines? I read an article about how the whole country watches all of his fights? I also heard he ran for some sort of political office but lost the election. i think he is going to destroy antonio barrera in the rematch, what do you think?

i like his boxing skill and the way he fights. also, his dedication to improve him English speaking capability. and yes, he is taken as a celebrity in the Philippines, in fact he already had a movie or two? i am not quiet so sure how many. and he attempted to run for a political position last election but he lost to his opponent. about him and barrera re-match? maybe he can bag the price but then i am not a boxing analyst and pro :) but the truth remains, he had put quiet a number of mexicans to the floor.

He is the Filipino's champion and yes, the whole country sets everything aside to watch his matches. In fact, there is no traffic during his matches because everyone's at home, watching him fight.
Yes, he did lost the election.
