An update to my health...

friends, i just went to the hospital yesterday and the doctor says i was doing great regarding my heart..just continue the stress free day and i will be away from the clinic and hospital..however; my heart is now ok but they found another problem from my tests..they suspected me for having goiter..i am to be back late this afternoon for confirmation..if i had one i will be under medications again..but what i was worried about is i might not have another child again because of this problem and of the medicines..i have an aunt who had a goiter when she was young..when she married her man she never got pregnant up unti now that she's 57..they say its because of too much intake of the medicines..i have to confirm it to my doctor..i wanna know it its true..but right now, this is all i can update you for now..thanks for all of you friends who never fail to say what's up during this times..

Figures. You go in to find out your heart is fine only to find out something else is going on. Meds nowadays are different than they used to be so hopefully your dr. can put you on meds that will help you now and ensure your fertility later on. Just sent up a prayer for your health. Oh you poor thing, so young to go through all this, I really do hope things work out for you, I guess you can look at the positive side and think it could have been worse as what you have seems to be fixable, never give up on future children I believe if you are meant to have then you will have them no matter what, good luck to you I hope everything works out ok for you....

Hi angel Im so to hear you might have goiter. What the heck is it? I have heard of it but I dont know what it is. Im glad you heart is doing good. And you probably should continue resting.I wouldnt worry about having children at the moment you must take care of your health first. You take care and keep us informed. Hugs to you.

Hi Terry, goiter is a sickness where in you lack iodine and then your neck will swell up like you have an adams apple or more bigger than that..so far my neck is not that swelled up..it is hereditary and i got it from an aunt who also had this years back..thank you Terry, i will keep you posted

Here's my "what's up" to you. ;) I'm so happy to hear that your heart is okay, very good news. I am sorry to know that you might have a thyroid problem, though.
I will continue to lift you up in my prayers, and hope that you won't have to suffer the same fertility problems as your aunt. But whatever happens, your well being must be paramount to you and your family; they need you. :) Hugs!

i thought goiter was a lack of iodine in your systme as we never hear of this disease in the US but what do I know? i am a nurse with a purse..but i digress..gointers are something we don't see much of in these neck of the woods..but my blood work was great today..but i am a little dehydrated..duh..as i fasted for 12 hours on the second series of test..and the nurse told me i did not have to fast..but i told her it does a body good to go without food...for 12 hours or more..but i did eat a great breakfast and the food never tasted better
I will pray that your have a complete recovery and that your family is also given a special Blessing..God Bless you and yours

well yah, when they tested my blood like say they got 10 cc from me i fasted for 12 hours..i didn't ate my dinner from the last night because they don't want me to..your right about the goiter..it is a disease where in a person lacks iodine and it comes in the neck..it can be hereditary which was mine is hereditary one.
