I love Schwans food but as you say they have hefty prices , so we also don't get to order as much as we want to and when we want to. But it is so good,Yummy! I love all their foods especially the Maplenut Ice cream and the breaded mushrooms and their pizzas are delicious. It is a something we do to occasionally treat ourselves.

i agree thanks for commenting. here is a recipe i found in there book
It is called Grilled Pineapple with Vanilla Ice Cream and Hot Caramel
Prep time =15 minutes
total time=30 minutes
makes 8 servings
you will need
1 fresh pinapple (3-4)pounds
1 half gallon of vanilla ice cream
1 8 0z jar of caramel topping heated
peel the pineapple and cut crosswise into 8 1/2 inch thick rings
remove the from each ring
grill the rings directily over medium heat on an oiled grate for 3-4 minutes on each side or until grill marks appear. set aside top each ring with a scoop of ice cream and drizzle with hot caramel.
garnish with maraschino cherries for color.

We order stuff once in a while. Alot of their stuffed chicken pockets, frozen foods and Ice cream in the summer. When I wasyounger you were able to get Ice cream off of the Schwan guy singley. You cant do that anymore :(
We dont order alot becuase it is so darn expensive!!! Too bad becuase it is actually pretty good!

I love schwans. I haven't ordered from them yet, but my mom used to all the time. Now she just gets ice cream, mostly. Their buffalo wings are awesome. And the cheese filled bread ring is great (my mom used to do those for dinner every now and then). I love their ice cream and desserts as well.
I'm thinking about doing an order in 2 weeks when they come by. The guy dropped off a catalog for me yesterday. I did the math, and I'm pretty sure that their version of hot pockets are cheaper than the grocery store, so I might get some pepperoni pizza ones for my son.
Their breakfast items are also really good.

I LOVE them. I don't order from them very often either. Their prices are very high. They do have very good, high quality foods. Their ice cream is the best I have ever tasted. Yummmm
