Something Stupid

I hate using that word but there is no other to describe what I did. I went on vacation a couple of weeks ago, and it was a two parter. First I left directly after work to drive six hours to my first destination. I was in a hurry. I grabbed a soda out of my refridgerator for the road then left and came back five days later to find out that I hadn't gotten the refridge door totally shut. I had also turned off the air conditioning, hence forth I had to throw out everything I had in there as it wasn't cold. The good thing is that I don't buy groceries for a couple of weeks before I go and empty everything out. The worst will be when I get my next utility bill with all that electric usage on it! Yikes... Have you done something like this?

Gosh, I am famous for doing stupid things. I have left my house and taken care to turn everything off...unplug curling iron etc...lock door and leave a candle lit. Luckily nothing happened as a result. Last year we went on vacation and I was determined that everything be perfect. I made list after list to make sure I had all that we needed. In the past I've always forgotten something essential that needs to be bought which takes away from our "fun" money. So this year I remembered absolutely everything or so I thought. I forgot to bring some cash. We arrived at the beach bright and early and in order to park ....we needed cash...no credit or debit accepted. We had to drive around to look for an ATM...not the worst thing i've forgotten but a pain in the rear and enough to tell me that no matter how I plan...things are going to go wrong. Don't even ask about the little trip i just returned from...i'm not ready to talk or think about it.
