For people living in warm climates all year long, do all your vehicles have heaters just in case it gets cold? Here in Alberta it's a must have because we get the four seasons, but i think summer is the shortest of them all! Just curious and thanks in advance!

Yes Where I live in the US we have heaters.. I think though every car and truck made has them in it.. At least everyone that I've seen anyway.. I believe it's a requirement of law/government for them to have it.. Kind of like seat belts as well Everyone must wear it.. Though I know alot that don't...

I have been told by acquintances that some California cars don't have heaters, but most of them have air conditioning. Do you also have block heaters? You plug your car in to keep the motor warm so it is easier to start. Take care Wisconsin.

Luckly I am in asia area. I don't need any heater for my car but only need air cond. In fact, I also don't know how the heater can work in a car. IMHO, don't go out too often during winter. Spend more time in house.

In Canada our vehicles have air conditioning too but the heater is most used. The heater works by hot water or anti- freeze circulating in a copper or aluminum type box inside the car. A fan blows the hot air throughout the car to warm it up! Thank you fpr the response and take care Cywong.

Yes, it has, but I hardly turn it on, even in winters. Heaters stale the air, its better to keep them off, unless its bitting cold outside...

over here in singapore, one degree north of the equator, it's pretty much warm all year round. i think cars don't have heaters, but air-conditioning is a must. if not, after the car has been parked in the hot sun awith crazy humidity, getting into the car is like getting into an oven! that is when the aircon gets on turbo full blast!

I think i would have to have those heat reflectors covering my windows! Here in Alberta it doesn't stay hot long enough for us Albertans to get used to the heat. Mid july to late august is usually when we get our hottest temps, like 30 to 33 celcius! Take care Squaretille.

Yes my car does have a heater I live where we have warm and cold seasons so I wouldn't make it without a heater. Now with being said I'm very cold natured, I wear jeans just about all year, I will put on shorts when it's a 100 degrees or more. I just hate wearing shorts then you go into a cold builden and I freeze allday. I keep a heater at my desk all year long and most days it's on all the time.

hi... we dont have heater, just air conditioner with cooler and warmer thermostat.. boy, it's so darn hot here, almost all year round... except when it rains, then there's a reprieve from the stifling heat... but we have beautiful azure beaches and white sand beaches... and all the fun in the sun activities like snorkling, banana boat, island hoping, etc...wow, Alberta is one of the many places i want to visit... i heard you have -40 degrees winter... that would be great for snow ball fighting, building a snowman and go ice skating... do you enjoy these activities?

Hi Shiloh, nice name! I live in central Alberta and our winters are not too harsh, we don't often get minus 40c temperatures, mostly minus 20s and 30s. If you go a couple of hours north then you might get minus 40s, but maybe for only for a few days then it warms up to the minus 30s and 20s. Being outside when it's minus 40 is when your brain quits, it only knows, i gotta get inside where it's warm, brrr! lol! When it's about minus 10 then it is fun to be outdoors building snowmen, skating, sledding etc! Every year i throw snowballs, but it's been a few years since i've gone skating, maybe this year i'll get new skates and see if i can still skate or even stand up on skates! lol! Take care Shiloh and hope you visit Alberta one day!

heaters are standard equipment on cars..at least in the USA they are. air conditioning is what you have to pay extra to get usually. even here in the southwest of arizona..where our top high temp so far this year was 117F...they still sell cars with heaters, no matter what lol!

I guess you have heaters just in case you visit Alberta! lol! We get a lot of sunny days, but the weather here can change quickly! It seems like air-conditioning is a must in Arizona, 117F, that's hot! Take care CinderInMySoul.

i live in the philippines, but the family car, a nissan sentra, still has a heater. imagine, we live in the philippines, which is hot all year long, eeing as how the country is situated in the equator, and how come the car still comes with a heater? i don't know about cars in the states, but the heater controls here are just temp controls integrated in the airconditioning system. cold air mode is the one used 99.5% of the time here. we only get to use the heater when driving in the rain for extended periods of time.

I don't think you will ever use your heater to warm up with haha, but i guess it is needed when it rains to clear the windows! I think it's good to have it because strange weather is affecting many different countries. Take care Jlara_gtr34
