I have to vent! I live in a rural area and everyone goes on how it is soooooo much safer than the city! Well some punk stole my daughter's bike last night. I know it was a youth because they took the largest kids bike but ignored the better and newer smaller bikes and left the brand new lawn mower. It wasn't a great bike but something that would fit a youth. My fault for leaving it in my own yard underneath my own bedroom window. I didn't hear a darn thing either. I should get a big barking dog to warn me if anyone comes in my yard. I walked all the way over to all the neighbors all three of them. Apparently a druggy just moved in down the road and his nephew comes by and already stole two bikes from one of my nieghbors. Guess how much of my stuff got stolen in the city... NONE! I hate stealers. My mother was a cleptomanic and was always getting caught stealing. First day of my very first part time job I had to leave work to get her kids and get her out of jail. NICE! I really don't like people who do that! When my daughter gets back from camp she is going to be soooo disappointed. CREEPS! Just had to vent before I blow.

Iam so sorry that happened. No wonder you hate stealing so much, with your mom's history and it causing you problems.I hate it when someone steals from you when you have done for them.Like recently,I let my son's ex-fiance stay herebefore they broke up and my son accidentally sat my daughter's TV out with her stuff, when she was moving out and she knew it was not her's and took it anyway. And when I asked for it back before she had finished packing the truck she told me that it was already packed and I shouldn't of set it out there. But,she had no problem leaving her stuff that she didn't want and dumping the litter from her ferret cage over my fence in my yard. She also got the police to force her back into my house and she took the ferret that they had already sold to someone and the baby monitor.

Vicki2876 Im so sorry that your daughter's bike was stolen. If there been any other thefts in your area then it might be a good idea to Set up a hidden camera and put out something for bait and wait until you get the thieve on tape. I also suggest you contact your local police incase someone turns it in.

If they can they will so I have to be smart about taking everything in everyday which sucks.

I did contact them but they are shady cops. If I was rich enough where I could afford a video camera I probably wouldn't have cared if they took a bike. They would probably steal the camera too. HEHE

That just too bad. Some people always fail to realize the damage stealling cause. I mean they fail to know that if you steal once, you lack twice. The more one steal, the more he creates bad name for him/herself and the more things will keep one becomming difficult for him. Ok friend. I understand how you feel about this, but I think you should pray for them (thieves) so that God will change them as well cos hating them won't change their life for the better. Thanks and have a nice day.

How sad for her. I hope your daughter is having fun at camp but how sad that her bike is gone. I hope you find it before she comes home. I bet it was imbarrassing to have a mother that was a cleptomanic. Growing up and not knowing if your mom was going to be put in jail because of her problem much have been rough. I hope the bike comes home soon. LOL

Thanks for your thoughts. I hope she likes the new one I bought her even though every time I look at it I think about the other one. Though I doubt it will come back I hope that things get better in the neighborhood.

Thats ok hunni, to vent is one of the few things actually not in violation with the myLot rules. Im sorry to hear about this and know exactly how it will affect your daughter. I had my bike stolen about 6 months ago and was lost without it. Problem with youths today is some dont know the difference between yours and mine and the lack of respect. Today they just seem to do what they find entertaining and gets away with it.

There are some weird rules here I agree. Sorry to hear you had the same thing happen. Your right cause from what I heard the youth that took it just grabs whatever bike is around and uses it without thinking it is stealing. Trashy if you ask me. I have to look at it as a lesson learned that nowhere is save and if I ever want to go back to the city noone here can say that the country is safer that the city. There I was dealing with the devil I knew. Here they all act like it is such a save country community. Ha!

i think the authority needs to know about these happenings in your area. if there have been many cases of the same, then i think it's alarming enough already. next time, installed locks on the bikes you leave in the yard.

The authority here say arsine is electrical fire so there is no point in calling them. There are many more cases that they fudged and lied about so I don't bother with them at all. But I have now taken everything into the basement which is such a pain. So the only thing they can steal now are my darn peas out of my garden! LOL

I hate thieves as well...Get a job and buy your own stuff is my attitude!!! I caught a guy trying to steal out of my truck(cd's sunglasses in the glove) I pulled a branch from a bush beside the door ran a whipped him while yelling a cursing(words I never knew I knew)like a wild woman...guy must of thought I was crazy,LOL. He's never been back. After I calmed down I got a little scared that I could've been hurt but I charged out there. People work to Danm hard for the things they have to have them ripped off by losers. The best is to keep things locked up, not matter city or country theres always a rotten apple everywhere.

i regret that your bicycle was stolen.Do you know how many bicycles have i been stolen in the past two years?seven! Now i buy the cheapest bicycle and protect it carefully.Once i went downstairs when i saw a chief was stealing my bike.i shouted as loudly as i can. Many people rush up to my bicycle and the chief dropped it and got away immediately. after venting,do you best to calm down.explain it to your daughter the whole event.i think she will comfort you without complain.

Oh that's really bad. Me too, i just hate people who steal. I think you should really get a pet dog for yourself maybe a great dane or a german shephard. Who knows this thief might strike again after some time.

I don't doubt it will happen again so everything down the the soggy road chalk has been put in the house. It isn't so much the cost but the principle of taking something that isn't yours is what really made me mad.
