new discussions vs. today's hot topics

which discussions do you respond more to -- new discussions or today's hot topics? for me, i usually check out both and it depends really on the topics. but i guess there are myLotters who have a preference. what's yours?

I tend to scan first today's top discussion, then recent discussions and then discussion my friends started, usually in that order. In which discussion I respond more? I think it would be discussion my friends started.

Usually I check out new discussions because today's hot topics have a lot of people who have already responded to them and they are going to make what ever they have to to get paid for their discussion. So I like to get other peoples discussions under way.

There are more mylotians rushing to hot discussions, but I always prefer new discussion topics, which not many people come here to respond to the discussions.

i usually look at first at my main page and see, what my friendlist have posted so i can reply to them, if im done, i look at the new discussions and hot topics. i respond only to topics that interest me, so i could share my ideas.

well i look at my main page first and respond to those discussions which my friendss have started then i go to the todays top discussions and then to the hot ones :D
