Old Friends and Classmates Passing Away

I was on Facebook yesterday looking at profiles of people I went to high school with, and I was surprised to see that a girl I graduated with passed away last year in a car wreck. As hard as it may sound to believe, I only graduated in 2001, but in the past 6 years over 20 people from my 300+ graduating class have passed away from either leukemia, other health issues, car wrecks, drug overdoses or a shooting. Another 15-25 from other grades below or above me have also passed away since I graduated. That means that out of the approximately 1500 students I went to high school with at some point, about 30% are now gone. Sad, huh? Have you ever discovered that an old friend or classmate that you fell out of touch with had passed away, via a social networking site like Facebook?

Those are sad statistics. I've never heard of facebook. What's the link or website address. I'd like to check it out.

It's just facebook.com, it's a social networking site where you can link up with old friends you may have lost touch with over the years.

That is very sad. I graduated in 2001, as well. I had about 150 in my graduating class. A few have passed away, but none recently (thankfully) Also, I have not heard through facebook if any have passed away. I am still in touch with most of my friends from high school, so hopefully I would not be hearing it from myspace if someone I knew passed away. I'm sorry for your losses, once again.
