I used to smoke many years ago but I quit when I got pregnant. It was hard but I knew I needed to quit. I chewed gum all the time. Years later I was a social smoker but it was hard not to smoke all the time. I do not smoke at all now.

Here here. My mother smokes and my father has been through cancer twice... still she can't quit. That is bad.

I have smoked for 25 years. I know I need to quit but I enjoy it. I did manage to quit cold-turkey when I found out I was pregnant with CJ. I was so proud of myself but then, after a month or so from giving birth something happened to create enough stress that made me decide to start up again. I do hope that I'll be able to quit one day and get rid of the craving.

nope i don't smoke, and don't have to be a smoker..i hate smokers actually because some of them has no care for the people around them while they are smoking..specially those who are pregnant mothers who are really a change smokers while they are carrying their babies inside their womb..they are really evil for me..they are not responsible being a mom..

I've never tried to smoke in my life. Although there was time when I was very much tempted to try. I'm glad I didn't succumb to that. Good luck.

Smoking is one of the hardest habits to break! I've tried and tried over the years, but it is so difficult. I gave up for a long time, but then I married a guy who was a smoker and it was very, very hard being around it all the time. I'm trying again now to quit. I only smoke a few a day, and hopefully going at it different so I won't have all the symptoms like I had the last time. Quitting 'cold turkey' has got to be the hardest way. I haven't tried patches, they seem so expensive. Wouldn't you think that if they want people to truly stop this habit they could make it more affordable to the average Joe?!
