What's your worst flop that you made?

The worst flops in my family were usually due to no labels. We lived where the mice ate through everything and there were so many field mice the cats couldn't even keep up. So my Mother put everthing from a box into large glass jars. One time, my Dad, who usually made the best pancakes, couldn't get his pancakes to thicken. He tried them. Super-sweet scrambled eggs. He had mistaken the powdered sugar for flour. My salt-instead-0f-granular-sugar cookies were pretty awful, too. Since then, we've found labels that even stick in high humidity. What flops have you had any why?

My worst flop was the angel food cake that went through the pan on my kitchen floor. I haven't even tried to make an angel food cake again after that experience. This happened over 25 years ago and my family loves to bring it up in a food conversation.

A friend of mine asked if I had ever made sidewalk cake. I asked her what that was, she said she had accidently dropped a cake and it went all over the sidewalk on her way to visit someone in a Nursing Home. My friend had to go buy a cake and decorate it. Yes, families are fun like that. Mine won't let me forget the spaghetti sauce that was so acid that each person went through a roll of tums. I think I could have stripped paint with it! I think you should try to make another angel food cake. History probably won't repeat itself. I really like them, too. Take care
