Is Sania Mirzas accent put on or acquired

First of all I really love the fact that Sania has put India on the ladies world tennis map! Although she tends to fluctuate in her form, I think she is more predictable than the Indian cricket team! I've noticed that her accent these days is heavily americanised. I'm not surprised as she has been in the US for a few years. But is it just a change due to that or is it put on? I was having this discussion with my wife and we disagree - I say its just a part of her american stay and she feels it is put on! What do you say?
