Wearing crystals or stones

There are many people who believe that wearing crystals or hag stones or such objects can be effective in warding off bad energy, healing, and in calling good or productive energies to the wearer. Do you think that this is true or just a bunch of new age mumbo jumbo?

I think there are many differennt natural remedies in the world just waiting to be discovered, although many may have been lost with all the cutting down of forests ect, I think that they can work but there are also a lot of scam artists out there that want to sell fake crystals for lots of money.

That can be true too. However I tend to buy my crystals and stones raw and have jewelry made of them.

Yup. I believe that certain stones have certain qualities, and thus attract certain kinds of energy. Besides, even if it didn't work that way, knowing that you're wearing an item meant to do a certain thing would affect the sort of energy you as a person attract. =p
So either way, it works. I'm sort of inclined to think it's more the latter than the former, considering people have some very different ideas about which stones are used for which type of thing. So obviously it's more about what the person believes than the qualities of the stone itself.

I would say that it is not just about what that person believes but also how they choose to interpret their life in view of the stones that they choose. I beleive that clear quartz crystals dispel negative energy and that they help ward of illnesses of the gody and of the spirit

Do you know anything about the New Age Religions? Many centries ago people woshiped this new age religion and took it underground so they wouldend be prosecuted as a witch. Even befor that it was around and many many people throught the ages belive in this sort of thing. If you research each rlgigin, even the mormon, cathlics, budisim, indian religin they are quit simular. My family is from back east and they belive in the old relgions.
