How much has technology changed since you graduated from high school?

I graduated from high school in 1993 and a lot has changed since then. When I was in high school none of my friends that I could think of had cell phones instead we used pagers. We did not use email that much to communicate. We wrote letters instead. We did not use DSL at school instead we used that dial up connection. I don't even know if myspace.com existed during that time if it did no one that I talked to said that they were a part of that community. We did not have HDTV. The list goes on.

I graduated in 1995..I think its weird how everybody has cell phones and email now to have access too...I would have loved that since I lived in the country. I don't even remember how the school got on the computer I just remember I used to rock at BASIC...I think that's what its called. There is so many new things since then!

I graduated 1989 and it was in my home province so you can just imagine how laidback life used to be.Of course there were no ISP..heck, there was not even one computer in my place even in the school. We only used typewriters. There were no telephone lines..yup. Life is indeed very simple.

We had computers in my highschool but I did not take a computer course because I did not think it was all that important. I took typing in high school. I taught myself in College how to use computers.

Yeah, the same thing goes with me. When I was in high school nobody not even the teachers or the principals had any cell phones. It was such a bizarre thing when somebody has it. Only in seldom occasion did we see a person bringing a cell phone. Those days, only huge businessmen use cellphones, and the size were the same as our regular bottled water! Lol. People didn't carry cell phones in their pockets, they put it in their brief cases and if the phone rings, they have to put down whatever is in their hand, open the brief case and show off to others they have a cell phone! Lol. People at that time will look with awe at the big cell phone in the brief case and wish they had one. Lol. So many things has changed now, even 12 year olds bring cell phones to school. It has become a necessity, not a luxury as it used to before. The same goes with the other technologies.

I graduated in 2001. Several of my friends had cell phones, but not everyone did. I didn't get my first one until after I graduated, when I went to college that summer. Having high speed internet was a big thing. In fact, not even all my friends had computers at their house at all, though most did. I'm sure there are several ways that technology has changed, but I am apparently too tired to think of any of them tonight.

I did not buy my first cell phone until 1998 because at that time I still lived with my parents and I worked second shift in a paternity lab. My parents wanted me to get a cell phone so that I could contact them if I needed to.I did not get high speed internet until 2001. My parents still can't get it with bellsouth because of their location. They don't want it either.I am too impatient not to have DSL now since I'm used to having it. When I was in College we did not have DSL there.

Hi. Since college days back in the 1990's, there was no such thing with children having cell phones, especially at school or ever, that I can remember... Also we had computers, but they had the old black screen with a horrible green typing colour and in no way did they send emails lol... The only game on computer that I can remember back then was called "Where in the world is Carmen Sandiago LOL..." Funny how times and technology have changed in a big way...

These days I see children who look like they are about 5 years old walking around with cell phones.

There is no drastic change in technology, but everyday there is always something new or some new upgrades being done.

Since I only graduated in 05', I'll go with my 01' grade school graduation. A lot has changed which is amazing from HDTV being more popular, everyone having cell phones, ipods & the like. No one writes letters or even considers it anymore. Its odd leaving in both worlds but I make a point holding on to the past. I'd pick VHS over DVD anyday.
