Do you put spices on your pizza?

You would think that delivery pizza would taste good enough as-is, without any add-ons. Certainly, the pizza delivery people always charge more than enough money for that to be true. But, for some reason, I love to add spices to the top of my pizza. Other than salt, pepper and garlic, my favorite pizza spice happens to be basil. I think basil is one of those classic spices that just makes everything taste authentically Italian! Just last week I started using basil on top of my pizza and now I wouldn't have it any other way. How about you? Do you love putting spices on your pizza slices before you eat them? Do you use garlic or pepper or basil, too? Don't you wish that pizza restaurants put all those spices onto the pizza before delivery? Or, do you just prefer to add your own?

I've never tried adding basil to my pizza. I'll have to try that next time. I love adding extra garlic to my pizza. There for a while I was adding garlic to everything until my fiance pointed it out and said I need to chill out with it lol.

Mmmm, sounds good. Never tried that, but it sounds yummy. I might have to do that next time we get pizza. I always put on crushed red pepper and Parmesan cheese. It just doesn't taste right to me if these 2 things are not on it. :o)

I use parmesan cheese when I have it in the house. Very yummy! Since I stopped putting jalepeno peppers on my pizza it's a little more bland and can use all the spices I can find. LOL!

One of my favorite toppings is the pepperoni and i really enjoyed eating pizza with lots of it. i also put like what you said awhile ago a basil and lastly is the "all spice" by mccormick. it really taste good and smell is so tempting.

I do sometimes. I take a couple of bite to see how well it's seasoned. Sometimes it's great. Sometimes it's really bland and needs help. When I add spices to my pizza it's usually garlic, italian seasoning (it's a blend of oregano, marjoram, rosemary, sage and thyme) or red pepper flakes. Sometimes I add basil.

I do not add any spices to the pizza that I order from a pizzeria. The local pizzeria that I order from- adds a lot of spices : ) It’s very yum- My daughter also isn’t big on spices so we don’t add anymore- When we make our own pizza at home- then I add spices. Usually Basil, Italian seasoning, and garlic. I love pizza

I usually will add something on top of a pizza. Mostly the frozen cardboard ones that the kids enjoy so much! (bleck!) Italian seasoning or oregeno are usually the 2 most common. I will add basil, garlic peppr or just garlic to it sometimes. speaking of which, I'm making homemade taco pizza and pepperoni pizza tonight. I like to put a little cornmeal and garlic pepper under the crust to keep it from sticking to the pan. Then whatever I have in the spice cabinet for the rest of the seasoning. LOL!

I dont like to put spices on my pizza after it is aready cooked. I like to add my spices as i build my pizza as i find the spice taste goes through the pizza better. I do like to put donair sauce on my pizza after it is already cooked.

I usually go with whatever is already on the pizza since I never cook it for myself in terms of actually making it other than tossing it into the oven. I am a person who likes most things sort of plain and therefore do not add any spices.

At the gourmet pizza place, ice cream store and cafe across the street from where I am staying in Arizona, they offer parmasean cheese and pepper flakes to shake on one's pizza. I sometimes use the cheese but I rarely use the pepper.

Usually I don't put any spices on my pizza. I think they have enough spices on them when we get them usually. Before I had my son, I never had heartburn, but while I was pregnant with him, and since he was born, I get heartburn anytime I eat anything remotely spicy. I usually get heartburn when I eat pizza, but it's not too bad. I don't want to push it and make it worse by putting extra spices on it! If I put anything extra on my pizza, it's just parmesan cheese, so I don't get heartburn.

I love Basil, but never have put it on my pizza. Do you use fresh basil for this? Probably about 90% of the time I put crushed red peppers on my pizza. On occasion I will not put anything on my pizza, no special reason why, just sometimes I like it plain.
