The chairman of one of our local football clubs (English) has had lawyers reading a website that supporters of the club can read and post on. Almost 2 weeks ago this chairman went on radio and TV when things didn't go his way with regards to a takeover at the club and him making a handsome profit and called supporters of the club who are members of a supporters club - cretins and scum - he even went so far as to label one lady a venemous b*t*h. Now it has been brought out that using the name of the club he is suimg the website and 26 of the people that post on there. From the day this man went on the board of this club he has threatened etc. What do you think the 26 people should do about this man who is trying to mess with their right to an opinion and their freedom of speech. Some of those being sued do not have the resources to hire an attorney to fight this arrogant, dictatorial man.

This man is now being looked into by the FA for bringing the game into disrepute. I hope they nail his butt to the wall and it costs him a pretty penny. It is high time the other 5 board members got their heads out from where the sun never shines and got this man off the board in my opinion. They are allowing a grand old football club to be destroyed.

Well these lawsuits have been taken before the court and they are now down to 4 people being sued. The suits are being brought by Sheffield Wednesday Football Club and the Chairman Dave Allen the other 5 board members and the Chief Executive Kaven Walker - who at one time was brought before the board for downloading undesirable material on the clubs office computers. It is a disgusting state of affairs. One man who the Chief Executive is suing has been fighting this for about 18 months - all for posting his opinions on a website.

The FA let this Chairman off for the vile names he called fans - they ssaid he did not bring the game into disrepute. Well they sure did for letting this man get away with it. It is disgusting.
