"The Lake House" "Holiday"

I love those movies, the actors were fantastic and the senarios were totaly different of what we usually watch. Do you have the same opinion? Please can you recommend movies close to the ones I mentioned?

The Holiday was awful. I never watched The Lake House because someone told me the ending and I am not a Bullock fan. I guess if you like her then you might go for the movie PREMONITION which came out not too long ago.

I Loved the Holiday. Hated The Lake House!
Why did you think the Holiday was awful? I just thought it was a really sweet and meaningful type movie. I like those kinds. It came at a good time too when I needed a movie like that to make me see some stuff. I can't stand Cameron Diaz but I definitely think that one was good with good casting for the most part.

I hated the Lake House. It annoyed me. They never explained how they were two years apart and yet still communicating. It didn't make sense and I couldn't just "believe" ugh. However, I loved the Holiday.
Would you like movies with the actors or movies with the scenarios?
One of my favorite movies with Kate Winslett who was the star of The Holiday (along with Cameron Diaz) is "The Life of David Gale". It also stars Kevin Spacey. The theme is nothing like either of these though, but it's a seriously good movie.
Sandra Bullock is in a lot of cutesy movies like that. I'm a pretty big fan of hers. I'd suggest "2 Weeks Notice" with Hugh Grant and "Miss Congeniality". Another good movie with her..."28 Days"
Similar Themes?
"13 going on Thirty" is a great great movie. "Catch and Release". I haven't yet watched this, I bought it and I'm pretty sure it's a good one.

I enjoy these movies also; however, felt The Holiday wasn't one of the better ones. Cameron Diaz is great in the Shrek Movies. The Lake House was an enjoyable movie that I have watched several times now. This week, I will be watching In Her Shoes, so will be checking out another Cameron Diaz picture soon.
