Favorite Female HP Character

Now that the series is over and we've seen every character there is going to be, who, out of all seven books, is your favorite FEMALE character? Mine is definitely Moaning Myrtle! I really love her crush on Harry, and the sympathy she has for Draco during Half-Blood Prince. I also really like the way she is portrayed in the movies (I love the bathtub scene). I wonder what it's like to have a creepy ghost stalker girl in love with you? I wish Myrtle had been given a bigger part, but I guess she wasn't really needed that much. Another woman I like is Narcissa Malfoy. She shows that even the 'bad guys' possess feelings of love and compassion. Her love for her son was stronger than anything, she didn't even care if she risked bringing Voldemort's wrath upon herself, she just wanted Draco to be safe. I think this shows Narcissa in the same light as Lily Potter, doing anything to protect her son. I can't wait to see her in the movies.

I'm a very predictable person so I would go with the usual favorite, Hermione. I simply admire her intelligence and her drive. Even if she wasn't a pure blood, she still exerted her right to practice magic. She was one of the main heroes in the epic and I guess Harry will not be able to be a great hero without her help. I admire her confidence in going for what she believes in. I guess that's why I like her because I really lack that in me.

If you want to be more confident like that, you should just go for it ^_^ For example, in high school I nearly always knew the answers to questions, but I never answered because I was too worried what people would think since I wasn't popular. But then in college I realized since I know the answer, I may as well say it, so I started raising my hand every single time and I ended up getting the best grades. So, we should all go ahead and be more like Hermione.

I think a lot of people like Luna Lovegood, including me! It's weird that people IN the books didn't like her at first, but the people reading the books nearly all like her!

I know its the most common ans. but it has to hermoine , as she was not only brainy , hard working, but she was courageous too she stood with harry in all the tough times specially in hp7 when even ron had left.Remember that inspite of everyone calling her mudblood she was never down or sulking, she had sympathy for the house elfs too .

I like molly, Ron's mother. She is such a nice motherly lady that, she goes out of way to save Harry and does not mind risking her family's safety to save Harry. When all are running around here and there, without any word, happily and voluntarily she goes on cooking for everyone which I think I have to learn from her. Second character is Hermoine, taking friendship so seriously and doing anything for friendship, to the extent of not attending school irrespective of her devotion towards studies.

I don't have to look far for that. I love Hermione the best. More than her shrewdness and cleverness, it is her warming heart that pleases me more than anything. She is really compassionate and I think it was more because of her that Kreacher turned a new leaf. Next comes Ginny. The understanding between her and Harry is awesome and I love it when Ginny plays Fred and George's sister. Mrs. Weasley ofcourse, for her generous nature. But I'm definitely not a fan of Moaning Myrtle. How on earth could you choose her as the best? I am at a loss to understand you!! Hmmm.. Narcissa Malfoy did do a Lily Potter in a lighter vein, though!! But that is obvious, isn't it? No mother will keep quiet and do nothing to save her son, and Narcissa did just that.

Moaning Myrtle is funny! And she also would have been a lot more helpful to Harry, Ron and Hermione in Chamber of Secrets if they had actually paid attention to her. They could have known about the opening to the Chamber way earlier!

I like several of them...I like Moaning Myrtle also simply b/c she is so fun and bubbly. I also like Ron's Mom b/c she is so motherly and affectionate. I like Professor McGonagal b/c she is tough but fair and of course Hermione b/c she is smart, talented and stands up for herself. Although I haven't went any farther than the fourth movie I really look forward to seeing all the new characters that come out. AT PEACE WITHIN
