So many strong nations in the world of cricket now and yet Australia just seems to do enough to stay on top, when will another nation like India or England, South Africa or New Zealand take the long or short version of the game off Australia??

i think south africa, srilanka and india have such power to beat australia. but indian players are not having the stability i mean the players are not able to pay the stability match by match. i rank srilanka as the second to beat australia

I feel that It will be ending soon. AS my friends discussed lots of players have retired like Mcgrath ..... Gilli, Ponting, Symonds are above 30... So they will be retirng soon..... And i feel that the dominance will go out by then

I think most probalby Australia will rule cricket world for another 5 years. Most of the player are in the last 30s or the late 35s. I think most of them will retire after 5 years. There will be a big gap in the Australian team when all the players retire together. I think South Africa might rule the cricket world after 5 years. There are also chance that India will rule cricket world after 5 years. Rahul Dravid, Gangully, and Tendulkar will be retiring together, but I think there are lots of youngsters who has potential and will be the future aspect of the team India.

I think this side is gonna rule till the stalwarts of this team are playing like Ponting, Gilchrist, McGrath, Brett lee. They will be on the decline once these players retire but they will soon dominate as the new players get confidence. And i dn't think they will be on the decline for the next 5 years for sure...

I think the experienced players of Australia are retiring like Shane Warne, Gillespie, Glenn McGrath which will give the Australian cricket team a downfall over the coming years. There are two teams in my opinion. Either New Zealand or South Africa will prove if they keep on working hard as the way they are to top the international rankings and win the next world cup.

With the new crop of players ready to takeover from retiring champions , and with so many other good players unable to get a look-in , Australia should remain on top for at least the next decade.

It looks like Australia's ruling the world era is coming to an end as many exceptional players have retired in this world cup and will no longer provide their services to Australian cricket. This includes the world ranked player number 1 Glenn Mcgrath.Due to which Australia's bowling has not been up to the potential they have in the last couple of matches played by them. Now they can only trust their bating and now if they fail to bat well then they may have problems winning the match.
