Be honest with them about how you feel. I guess just tell them what is going on, don't keep them in suspense. Don't drag it out longer than it has to be.. It will only hurt more if you do that.

Breaking up is hard to do especially with someone you have been with awhile and had children with. There will always be a relationship even though you break up because of the kid(s). Try to talk sensibly and tell them that it just isn't working for you now and that your feelings have changed and that you have thought about it for a long time now and that as bad as it will hurt you you cannot remain in the relationship any longer. That all it is doing is hurting you both by remaining in the relationship that isn't going anywhere. I love the song "Let it Burn" by Usher. Play that to them to help out. I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do just follow your heart to whereever it leads you and don't ever settle for something that you don't truly want or need. (HUGS)

i know it hurts you to do this it usually hurts you both since you were both in a relationship tell them how you feel as gently and upfront as you can. it is better to find out now then if you were to marry right
