The modern medicinal theory says that eye muscle exercise will not eliminate the need for glasses. What is your opinion?

In China we have a set of eye-protection exercise for students. We have had this exercise ever since I was a kid at primary school. This exercise helps us to protect our eyes from getting near-sighted and is always played twice a day, one during the break in the morning and the other the break in the afternoon. It helps relax your eyes after studying for some period of time. I can only say this eye-protection exercise only helps prevent your eyesight getting bad or worse. You know, there are many factors to get near-sighted, among which the improper use of the eyes is to blame.

This is very interesting.
As far as my knowledge goes, myopia and hypermetropia develop due to the variation in focal lengths of cornea. Its highly publicised that regular optical muscle exercise helps in improving our eye sight. Its more of a myth, and total eye sight repairment is not really feasible.
Thank you.

If this is true, i want to know how this work. Atleast if you did not need to wear glasses, sometimes it is very inconvenient to wear eye glass.
