Hi Buchi_bulla Yeah I too love to wear pearl jewellery .. but you know I used to wear western dresses mainly and I have noticed it won't look too good with my western jewellery .. I am sure it will look good with a simple Saree specially with a white coloured Saree .. What type of dress you wear ?? when wearing pearl jewellery ? Here are some tips from my side to take care of your pearl jewellery : Pearls are precious jewels and should be treated as such. The following guidelines may assist you in caring for them. 1. Don't toss them carelessly into a purse or jewel box where they may be scratched by hard metal edges or harder stones. 2. Don't wear pearls while bathing, in the shower or while playing sport. 3.Put your pearls on after applying cosmetics, hairsprays and perfume. 4. Before any cleaning is undertaken, seek the advice of your jeweler. 5.Have your pearls re-strung once a year if worn frequently. 6.Have a knot between each pearl which will prevent loss if the string breaks. ----------------------------------------------------- Why you should buy pearls from a reputable jeweler ? Admiring and reading about pearls may make you feel knowledgeable, but you're still not an expert. It you're thinking about buying pearls you need a trained professional jeweler whom you can trust, so you can be advised on quality as well as a suitable style. Your jeweller can recommend a necklace, for example, that will best enhance your appearance and provide advice about the care and protection of your pearls. Also, a suitable clasp can further enhance your strand of pearls. You can be assured of professional service and specialist, honest advice from a reputable jeweler.

You are a true friend indeed. Not looking about the time and strain, so meticulously you have given the care points. I do not know how to thank you. I have one wish. When my payment is credited to paypal, I want to make my first purchase from you, if I get a product for that small amount. I am sure you will help me in buying with regard to formalities, as I am new for that. Thanks a lottttttttttt

There is one more reason for this wish. You are also a Shirdi Baba devotee like me I suppose. Let my first purchase, however small it is, be from a Baba devotee.

Hi Buchi_bulla! I do love pearls especially the South Sea Pearls. I have different kinds of pearls and in different settings, I guess they are my weaknesses. I wear them all the time. And I do agree with you totally that it is simple yet very elegant. Have a nice day and take care. :)

South Sea Pearls Australian - Large cultured pearls (10mm and larger) grown in large oysters (called Pinctada Maxima) in warm waters off the Australian coast. These pearls are found in a variety of colours including white, silver, gold and rose. Australian South Sea pearls are generally rare and valuable. Indonesian - Large cultured pearls (8mm and larger) generally smaller in size and creamier in colour than their Australian counterparts. Tahitian - Large cultured pearls (10mm and larger) which are grown in large oysters (Pinctada Margaritifera - black lipped) off the islands of French Polynesia. Colours range from soft gray to black, with hues or overtones of reds, blues and greens.

Very true. We must check whether genuine or not. But good and real pearls will have their own elegance.

My mother passed it onto me,as I loved them so much, as she had a vairety of pearls, all different coloured real , cultured pearls. There are the cream coloured dnormal ones, the pink ones, the grey ones, black ones and rice perals. I have a whole variety now and i too feel that its the most elegant jewellery a lady can wear. And as i have such a variety of colours, i match them up with the different colour clothes i wear and they look beautiful. They are neither too shiny nor glossy nor too bright and gaudy. They look just right i think and are good for any function and occasion. I think those who dont possess any, should go ahead and buy them!

Now-a-days the price of pearl also increased. In Hyderabad, near Charminar, lot of pearl jewellary shops are there. I bought one bangle studded with pearl and pearl garlands. You get different types of pearls too like round, oval, slightly pressed in the middle and coloured ones.

Yes thats is the problem for price , all valuable things have costly na pearl also valuable thing , Very difficult to get the pearl in merchants , very risky also na they will go to underneath the sea to finding pearl .So obeviosly that , how much risk they are taking that much of cash also we have to pay..not in pearl matter all natural ,mineral resources like that..
