Are people really as uneducated as they seem on here,

or are they just lazy? It seems that every third person in North america can't tell which from witch, or there from their or was from were. Did noone learn grammar in school?

I must admit that I honestly believe it's more a matter of stupidity than laziness. I am sometimes amazed at the stupidity of people in my own country, even ones that are attending college. I live in a college town, and at least half the students shouldn't have gotten out of high school! I certainly know which witch is which, witch being a word many people I love use to describe themselves. =p

I wonder is it the 'no child left behind' policy of most school boards that is doing it. kids don't have to learn in order to pass, they just have to get older.

That could be it! I knew a lot of people at my school also passed because teachers didn't want to have to deal with them anymore, or explain to their parents why they failed their children.

I understand you. And it's not here where the main problem is (People actually have better grammar here), it's the rest of the internet. I'm not from America, hell, I ain't from a country that speaks much english at all. Still, I see 18 year old americans who spell like they skipped school at second grade.
