no, i didn't mispelled it, you read it right, it was a mouse and it was on the news last friday, a group of nursing students bought a chocolate cake and was so shocked to see parts of "rats or mouse" on the chocolate cake. They all threw up and was adviced to got o the hospital for check-ups. The bakeshop owner said it happened for the first time.. but...yuck! I saw the mouse tail and some skin with hair..eeew! I don't think I can eat chocolate cake for now.

ewwww! that's gross! I probably would've threw up too! that bakeshop probably doesn't have any quality control that screens their product. it should be subjected for inspection by the proper authorities. aren't they aware of the HACCP standards? they must have a poor and dirty working environment. those kind of establishments are often hunted down by the media, featured and embarrassed in the television, and reported to the necessary authorities to force them to oblige in the international standards of cleanliness. ew. and to think that chocolate cake is one o my favorite flavors in cakes. ugh.

The authorities checked upon them and they have permits but I think all thier permits would be useless now, that bakeshop is for closure now, after being on a national television,no one would dare buy from them again.

Hello cefaz_21, It must have something to do with 'Ratatouille' movie! Ha Ha Ha! I hope you understand me *smiles* Well, it really sucks. How come a mouse ended up on the cake? I think I won't buy any chocolate cake for the time being until I can forget about what you have told me here!

Hello cefaz_21, I already lost my appetite when I read your story and I don't have to see it to prove the truth. Well, I could imagine how it looked with a mouse to replace the cherries. I think I still prefer cherries and candles rather than a mouse!

well my friends niece's teacher had this experience with rat too. it is inside a juice drink that is packed on tetra packaging. i dont like to say the name of the product but since then i dont let my kids buy anything that is on tetra packaging. i wish the department of health can control all this rats and mice lurking around.

What an exciting buy!! Maybe these students intended to buy a chocolate mousse cake, but bought a chocolate mouse cake instead and didn't realise it...LOL. This experience must have rat-tled their confidence about eating cakes. I hope none of them felt sick because of it.

yeoooooow! So yucky! Wish I didn't read this post. LOL.. jowk! :) I love chocolate cake, but I don't want mouse on them. It's quite intruiging though how the rat was able to go to the cake. Didn't the baker notice it when she/he was making the cake? Hmm... Take care and God bless :)

I would have sued this place. It is a terrible thing. You could get a disease. Please, advice anyone about this place.

I am on a diet and this discussion has put me off of chocolate cake - at least for awhile. But yuk - the trouble is there are many stories of thing in food that shouldnot be there like live bugs in slad - it does make you wonder what has gone wrong, doesnt it??

No store bought cake for me....not after this! I usually make my own but there are times when you need one last minute,a nd no time to make one. The ice cream cakes at Dairy Queen were my all time fave but I haven't had one in so long b/c our Dairy Queen had birds living in it...and they still served food! I wouldn't have been able to handle seeing what you saw! I hope they get that taken care of!
