Private Messages - Keep 'em or delete 'em

Do you keep your private messages or do you delete them? Do you keep them for awhile and then delete them later on? How long do you hold onto those messages in your inbox? I'm just curious because I tend to hold on to my messages for awhile believing I might reply again or need the information contained in the message. I don't like to let them pile up. What do you do?

Yours are in fact the only ones in my Messages box. So I'm keeping them. There's only two so they are worth hanging on to, right? :-) If anyone wants to read them so badly, let 'em. Neither of us would be embarrassed -- it was only to not take up too much posting space that they are PM in the first place.

I don't get that many but if I did, I would only keep the ones of interest and dump the rest. I delete all those that I receive regarding online sites to join and spam, i don't like getting those.

I have only received a couple of unsolicited emails regarding other websites (knock on wood), and I do delete those after checking out the website (unless I'm already aware of it). I don't usually sign up and just delete the message.

I keep ones that are important and I will need to refer back to. Other than that I will delete them since I wont need them again.

I just leave them all, don't know why other than I feel like I may need them later for referrence or somthing. Silly, but no I don't delete them.

I keep the ones i want to keep, and the rest are deleted once i read them. I only read the ones that have any value for me for personal reasons. The rest are deleted once i do what i have to do about them.

Oh, cool, I'll have to go try that!

It really depends on the message. I try to clean out the messages after a couple of months. If it is something that I will need later, I will either leave it there or copy it and email it to myself.

I am rather wary of private messages. Usually when I get one, it is someone trying to sell me something or someone giving me hell. So whenever I go to my private messages, I keep wondering what I did wrong.

I have not done any housekeeping so far for my private messages, but then I do not have many PMs in my inbox. I guess I will leave them there for a while. If there are too many, I will probably throw away those which are not important and just keep the ones which contain useful information or replies. I will probably treat them like my emails, and manage them the same way.
