How far would you travel to be beautiful?

Today I was watching a talk show and one guest claimed that she had traveled over 1000 miles to buy a world famous anti-wrinkle cream that celebrities use. Can you believe it? However, I personally know at least three women who have traveled from New York city to visit one of our local dermatologist for a revolutionary one hour face lift. And, they paid lots of money for the procedure as well. In my time, I've only ever traveled ten miles (at most) to buy a beauty product and that's only because it was located at the mall. I could never imagine traveling more than a few miles to find a beauty product or have a beauty procedure done. How far have you traveled to buy beauty products? Have you ever traveled more than 100 miles to have a beauty treatment done?

That's a very short trip for beauty! But, if you're confident with how you look already, you don't have to travel far!

i would say the most i have traveled was about 1 hour to a spa salon,to get a facial, and massage.it was so worth it,and so relaxing when someone else pampers you, especially with me always pampering everyone else.but i live in nj and i do have a few clients that travel to see me,one lives in pa,and the other family lives in new york, they have been my clients for about 10 years now,so i guess it just depend on the service you provide, and the results you receive.

No I have not- But I’m looking into getting my daughter’s hair straightened- It’s curly and very hard to manage- we have tried all kinds of products- I’m thinking of taking her to Rochester (we go there all the time for clothes) and seeing what they have to say- It’s over 45 miles- but a trip that we take regularly.

Not very far, just to my kitchen. I make all my own beauty products. I order the ingredients online then mix them up at home. I like to control how much of a certain ingredient goes into the mix instead of just taking what they give me. It's worked out well for me so far. I make all my own lotions, serum and cosmetics now. It's a lot of fun if you're into chemistry!

I think somehow I did *laughs* but it's not for skin care products. It's for the makeup brand Bare Escentuals. I got it last time when I traveled to the states. But the thing is I didn't fly because I wanted the items so bad (and I insisted on not buying online because I wanted to try the textures and colors first). I went there for vacation and I bought the items at the same time. I think I wouldn't travel deliberately just because I want to buy a product. I would buy something if I pass by the place. The lady you mentioned must be in love with her skin so much and believe so much in the power of that skin care item! *laughs* And she must have a lot of money to spend like that!
