Do you think people now a days have a sense of entitlement?

I ask because I was watching one of those court shows the other day, there was grandmother on sueing her granddaughter for credit card charges that the granddaughter ran up and refuses to pay. The granddaughter's defense was that her grandmother made her the way she is so she shouldn't be expected to pay. This got me thinking because of my current financial situation. Last week my Mom loaned me $250.00 and today I received an email from my Aunt in England offering me help as well. On the one hand I want to accept, but on the other hand I'm thinking that I'll just be in the same exact situation next month. I told her what I needed more than anything else was a good paying full-time job, which I've been trying to find for the longest time. That's why I'm trying to make a go of it on the internet. That's what got me thinking too about people having a sense of entitlement. I wondered if that was true for me as well. So what are your thoughts on this, do you find that there are people who feel that the world owes them everything?

Far too many people think that the world owes them a living or everyone else is to blame for their actions. I think we should all take responsibilty for ourselves, and pay our own way. Dont get me wrong ive had financial problems in the past but I never blamed anyone else or tried to force them to get me out of it - the way the girl in your story behaved against her own Grandmother is horrendous

Yes the way they are being raised must have something to do with it but I dont necessarily think the immediate family is always to blame.... Everytime you turn on the tv you can see someone famous getting away with stuff or someone sueing someone else..... This all has an input into how we emerge as adults!
