What's the last big impulse purchase that you made?

Last week our car finally gave out, leaving us without transportation. And, before I had a chance to talk with my spouse about suitable replacement options, he had located a truck that he thought we should buy. He did his best sales job to convince me he could use the truck in his home based business. And, he loved the spacious area in the super duty truck, so it would be perfect for hauling things. Not that we ever have the occasion to haul anything, but you know guys, they want the options just in case. So, off he went, cash in hand to purchase this used truck. And, even though it didn't cost more than $700 total retail (and a couple hundred for tax, tag and title), he was pretty sure it had a strong engine and would run well. And, for one blissful week it did. Nothing at all seemed wrong. But, then this morning he went out and the truck wouldn't crank. I'm pretty sure the problem is with the battery or some other minor thing. But, in the back of my mind, there's a little voice that tells me this is the one big impulse purchase that he should have waited on. What was the last big impulse purchase that you made? Did it work out for the best? Or, did you get a lemon?

Few months ago we decided to buy a new air conditioner. It is a big cost for us. Since the weather is very hot, so it is necessary for us to buy a new one so that we can pass this hot summer soon.

Air conditioners qualify as necessities! Or, at least they do in our home. I can't stand the heat, so I have to use the air conditioner all the time. We were going to be buying a new window air conditioner soon, but then the truck stopped working this morning. So, we'll have to get that fixed first. Enjoy your air conditioning!

Most of my purchases are impulse but not usually expensive purchases (just lots of them!). I impulsively bought this exercise machine called "Leg Magic" which I don't have room for nor need and I never even tried it after it got here. That is usually what I do. Buy exercise machines that I don't use. I THINK I will but I don't. I make loads of impulse LUSH and other bath and body purchases I do NOT need which add up to over $100 each time I do it. I recently bought a laptop and I have one that works. I just...wanted a new one. THAT was a bad impulse purchase. I work my butt off and then toss my money away on stuff I don't need. I don't get it...

Before the baby came along, I was the same way with skin care products. I just kept buying the stuff even when I had plenty. I think it was my safety net against growing older. Now that I'm a mom, I've given in!

I think my last big impulse purchase was a new laptop. We ended up giving it to my sister in law because a friend gave us another on of hers. So I guess it worked out okay.

Seems like impulse purchases can sometimes be unlucky, eh? My last impulse purchase was my digital camera with a free printer that my daughter ended out dropping and costing me $140 plus tax to fix. It is now like I paid full price for both the camera and the printer. So the camera was not actually a lemon it just seems the impulse was unlucky for me. I had been thinking about getting a digital camera. When my mom gives me a substantial amount of money to help us out, I do think I deserve to treat myself. This was one of my bigger treats. I bought a new computer in March when my five year investment finally came up. I don't treat myself very often.

OOpppss- that stinks- Impulse big buy- Well let’s see- I stopped myself from the pool and the hot tub- but they are still on the list- I did buy a ceramic top stove at Sear’s- I liked the look of it- and bought it- Got home and told sig. other- he was like there was nothing wrong with the one we had- It was a new house- and I didn’t like the stove- when they came to install it- they had to take the balancing legs off it completely with the microhood oven the stove just fit!

Well, the last big impulse purchase that (i)made was yesterday at the hardware/furniture store.I was like there 20 times in the last 2 weeks ,somehow i always ended up by the outdoor fire places. So yesterday when i went ther to buy a paint roller i walked by this big black fireplace and said "what the heck,do you have this in a box unensembled,if you do i"ll take it".It cost $249.00 can.I put it together before my boyfriend came home from work and put it in the back yard.He saw it and never said nothing, because he knew i wanted one for alooooong time. This worked out very well for me.Cant wait to get some wood though!Im very sorry for your dilemna and hope the problem is not too big!.Especially when it comes to vechiles ,its better to wait.

my last big impulse purchase will be my new house that i will be moving in in the next one and a half weeks... my hubby loves the house so much and off we went... we just sign the contract sale, go on the auction, bid as high as we can where no other bidder dare to bid anymore and we win the bid... in a sense, we are happy to get our dream house... but on the other hand, i am scared now... i just worry about our financial situation... but my hubby always say that just leave it to God and He will do the rest... i hope everything will be fine and i can't wait to move in to our new house...

I don't dare do any big impulse buying. If I do, terrible things will happen. Someone will drive through our front window, the sky will fall, myLot will go out of business, thieves will break in, the bank where I have my money will be robbed, all three of them. I do little impulse buying, which was about a month ago when I bought a dark chocolate bar and man it was good!

We've been doing pretty good lately about resisting impulse purchases. Probably the last one we made was my son's bedroom furniture. We were really only planning on buying him a toddler bed, but we ended up buying the whole set with the toddler bed, table and chairs, and toy storage. We didn't need the toy storage, since he already has one just like that one, only bigger (and without Elmo!), but it was a good deal to buy it all together so we did. He loves it, though, so I guess it was a pretty good choice. Now his room all matches, and it's something that we can use again for the next baby, whether it is a girl or a boy.

Speaking about cars, my husband just went out and bought a new suzuki sx4, our very first car in the USA. Now we are able to get to the grocery store and other places without having to rely on the bus and train. It is nice to finally have our own wheels.
