How many of you eat Campbell's Soup? I was regularly having a can for lunch, so children can have the proof "labels for education", as many elementary schools really need the educational supplies. Today I took the label off the can and discovered the coupon expired 12/31/06 that is not a misprint, so I called the company. The woman on the telephone informed me that soup cans can sit on the shelf for two years. I will no longer be purchasing Campbell's Soup, as I don't want to eat old soup. I am now looking for recipes to make my own soup. My health is important to me and having fresh healthy food is essential. You know the company doesn't care when they told me to contact the store, as its not their problem.

I don't eat campbells. Not anymore at least. My husband and I make our own soups in the winter sometimes. We also eat only organic food, and that isn't Campbells! WE eat Wolfgang Puck, and Amy's canned soups sometimes, as they use all organic ingredients.

I have never tried Wolfgang Puck or Amy's, but will check it out next time I'm in the store. Do they add salt? Thanks for the reply.

I think the shelf life of canned goods is about 7 years or so. So it's not odd for this can to be there. Think of how many canned items we buy. Then think how mnay may have been on the shelves 2 years or longer. It's life and the soup was good though I bet. Cereal boxes from General Mills and also pop tops from pop cans are used here in Minnesota for my grandsons schools. HAHAHA!! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!~~

I collect box tops for schools and hope my Cheerios are fresher than the soup. The soup was fine; however, plan to start making my own soup and checking out other brands of soup. My biggest problem was how customer service treated me, as didn't even thank me for calling. What kinds of soda can tops are you collecting? Thanks for the reply.

Good deal. I use Campbells Cream of Musroom only. I buy Progresso soups I think is the brand. But I always check my shelves for items outdated at least once or twice a year. HAHAHA!!

I eat Campbell's soup, even though my mother worked there back in the 40's, and she told me things about that place you might not believe, and I won't repeat them here, because I'm sure the quality control is much better now, or I'm hoping it is, because I really like Campbell's, and other canned soups. It's too bad the company wouldn't offer you a refund. That's not good business, but I guess they really don't care, they've been around so long. At least good, homemade soup is easy to make, and it's a lot cheaper than canned.
