one of my dogs died today

he was playing in the orchard, then we brought him in, and he just fell down in the doorway, and in minutes he was gone. I just can't beleive he's out there in the ground and not here on the sofa with his legs in the air. it was so sudden and unexpected. my life is just a mess right now. I feel cursed.

I am so sorry for your loss. That is very sad. How old was your dog? I don't even want to begin to imagine what it will be like when my little doggie's time comes. I will be so heartbroken. Sending good thoughts your way!

he was only nine. greyhounds are supposed to live quite a bit longer than that.

i have dealt with many pet bereavements and people feel the loss of a pet as strongly as a close relative. your dog was full of pleasure when he passed away and it was quick. you are not cursed but fortunate to have given a dog such a good life and as all living things have to pass on they do not forget you or you them. I will pray to god as he looks after your loved one. god bless you

Omg, I am so so sorry.I lost my dog of 10 years in April.It is so nearly impossible to imagine them not with you and as you said 'out there in the ground'.It makes the heart feel so backwards with grief.*HUGS!!!*

Oh, sorry for your sadness. Even you lose one of the dogs, you still have the other dogs. Thinking of the other dogs, you will get out of it!
