What are the ingredients for a truly delicious baked mac?

I really love baked macaroni and recently a friend told me that there's milk in it. Is this true? What type of milk is used?

I'm not the best cook, but I love baked macaroni and cheese. I don't have the specific amount of ingredients, I made it once a long time ago. I used elbow macaroni, Velveeta cheese, a block of Colby cheese cut into squares, milk, pepper, and one egg for height. Depends on how many servings you want

what i do is, I boil the mac and cheese on top of the stove until it's done. Pour it in a casserole dish with the cut up cheese, the egg, and milk. Stir it up to mix the egg all around and bake it in the oven until the top is browned.

When I make it, I heat about a cup of whole milk in a saucepan with some seasonings. Then I add whatever shredded cheese I want in small handfuls and stir it in until it's nicely mixed and melted. That gets poured over cooked pasta which is then sprinkled with more cheese and baked.
