Do you eat noodles... I mean those instant noodles? Do you know that there is a right way to cook instant noodles? The correct way to cook instant noodles without harming our bodies and health. Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles into a pot with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for 3 mins around and then ready to eat. This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles. By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with MSG, it will change the molecular structures of the MSG causing it to be toxic. The other thing that you may or may not realized is that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles. CORRECT method , which you may or may not know, is to cook the noodles this way : 1. boil the noodles in a pot with water. 2. once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles, and throw away the water which contains wax. 3. boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the hot boiling water and then shut the fire. 4. only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make noodle soup. 5. however, if you need dry noodles, take out the noodles n add the ingredient with the powder and toss it to get dry noodles. Please share this info and help save a life.

Wow, thanks for the info. I had no idea about the wax. I don't cook alot of instant noodles at home. Where I work, though, they do cook alot of noodles. I need to let them know. I appreciate it.

I love noodles, instant or not. And I'm not alone in this; because my siblings and my husband and also my daughter likes eating noodles. And thanks for the useful information. I don't know the right method of cooking these noodles until now that you've mentioned this. I'll try to cook them the right way the next time we have noodles for a meal. My only worry is; would it taste as delicious as before if we throw away or change the used water? Hope it won't because I really love eating noodles while they're still hot.

hello there. this one great alert warning. noodles is becoming a staple food now in the Philippines. Especially, children love noodles. I hope manufacturers be more responsible and us consumers must put forward our concerns to public. It is our healthy and safety that's at risk here. As you have done today, we can instill awareness in our own little ways....thanks so much, perry

Your tips are very useful. My friends will take them when they cook, but if they are hungry, they may think about preparing in advance.

Hi lucky_witch! I had never heard this before, thank you for the information. My husband eats a ton of instant noodles and I doubt he'll like hearing that he's eating wax. I hope he will take your advice and cook them differently from now on.

It's really realy good tips. Yes i knew it. I eat instant noodle regularly. First I don't know, my husband show me the way you said here, and tell me the reason why that is not really the reasons you said here. When you boil the noodle at the first stage, you will take all the food color, food preservative that is not good for our body.

It's amazing how much crap is in the food we eat. Makes you want to make your own everything. But then again we're all too lazy haha.

Thanks lucky witch. I will print a copy of the steps and post it in the fridge door. My siblings love to eat and eat instant noodles. There is no harm in trying the procedure though. Better safe than sorry :) If you have any other help tips to share, please do share it with the group. Thank you and god bless

Wow very good information thank you. I knew that it was bad but didn't know it was toxic. I lived on these for a long time when I was a student. It was easy to make and cheap but now I know not to cook it the way I use to and to let people I know how to cook it the proper way...be it that this process takes a little bit of work where as the other one is simple and easy...I would opt to do it the way you said just so that I can be safe...

WOW! I didn't know all that. Normally, I just cook the noodles..drain water..add butter/cheese/powder and eat it that way. I'll remember that next time I actually make soup to drain the water off and use different water. Thanks!!

Thanks for the info I do not eat instand noodles very often. I am dieting so I do not eat noodles hardly at all. When I cook noodles or pasta I usually rince it after cooking it then rewarm it. My mom taught me that so the noodles do not stick together.
