Internet, the modern invention of IT, no doubt is spreading like wild-fire among people of all nations and all age group, interrelating most people very swiftly. It is the www concept and its application that has quite unique advantages globally for more than a decade for communication, business, information and entertainment. Still then I may say that it is at its very primary stage and not more than 10% people of the world are availing the direct benefits of tht Internet. Hope, you may agree with my view. Please share also your views.

For me internet is one of man's best invention as it made the world much smaller than before. In terms of communications and information sharing it has made wonders to us even in the remotest places internet is fast invading them. I think the only thing that is not good about it is that it is used by others to influence others negatively. I just hope that this will not be abused by many who just like to create havoc and confusion to those innocent user like the majority of us who uses this tool to just enjoy and communicate with others.

Yes, it should be the responsibility of all of us to stop the abuse of Internet and make it a healthy tool all the time now and in future. Thanks for your nice response.

It sure is a great invention and one that facilitates communication between people on top of bringing many other benefits. Sure, like any other thing where big groups of people get together there is place for misuse or abuse but the internet is not the only place where it happens and if there was no internet there would still be the same kind of problems just delivered through some other way. As for it being very new, you are completely right. Many people still either have no access to it or even when they do are not really sure of how to use it or benefit from it. We will have a better idea in a few years, but I think does have even more potential than what we think right now .

I am a 65 year old granny , My youngest son who is 27 has a degree in IT , he teaches me and I love it ,When I was young we had no hot water in the house , most of us had gas lighting in our homes and outside toilets , So for me to be talking to people from all over the world on a laptop would have been like something out of a science fiction movie , I love it xxxx

I think it's one of the best inventions we have today. Even though there is a huge number of people online, there are plenty of people who don't utilize the internet. I'm sure there are plenty who just can't afford the equipment and monthly feels. Others just don't know anything about computers and they don't care to learn about them.

Yes, internet has probably been one invention that can touch the lives of the entire mankind. There is so much information on all subjects that one doesn't have to go anywhere else. A lot of people are earning a full time income from their homes, thanks to the net. Internet has utility value for any person of any background. Unfortunately, some people misuse it. I wish everyone was honest and used this great invention to further world peace and prosperity.

The internet is the best invention so far in the sense that it is being used and can be used by anybody. There are good inventions, but they could not be used in general as it is done with the internet. Still only few use the internet, I do not know the percentage, but as you say, it is spreading like wild fire. I hope that this could be maintained and improved if there is still room for improvement. May God continue to bless people in the invention of these things.
