What did you do at PetSmart?

I haven't really started yet. I start August 28th, but my paid training has started. My job is the Night Petcare Specialist at the PetsHotel. I will be working from 10 pm to 6 am. I take care of the animals that are left at the PetsHotel; I check on them every hour, I make sure they always have water, clean their bedding, wash bowls, etc.
I am nervous about starting a new job, but I can't wait! I love working with animals.

Way To Go!! I would love working somewhere like that too. I also love animals. Just think of it as a special time that you get to meet beautiful and loved pets of others and get to know them. Or maybe give the pet alittle extra chat time if they need it. Basically treat them like your special friends for the time that you will see them..They all can handle special attention. And too, their away from home and maybe alittle scared too. You'll do fine..Just love em..Tammy

Thank you! I'm excited about working with the animals, but still nervous about starting! It's always scary to start a new job! :) But, hopely it'll be fine...and hopely I get used to sleeping during the day (7am-1pm about).

You're going to be great at it. Our PetSmart doesn't have a pet hotel. I sell Pet Food at it and at it's competitor. If they're like the one where I am, they're nice to their employees. Good luck and congratulations on getting the job. Smile and let your love of animals shine through. You'll be fine.

Thank you! So far the people I'm working for seem nice. I don't really know about the people I'm working with. I hope I get along with them, but I always try to be nice to people so hopely it'll work out!

Thank you :) Yes, it's always hard for me to start a new job, as I'm sure it is everyone...but I know I'll get used to it in a week or two. My biggest issue right now we be getting used to staying up from 10pm to 6am and sleeping from 7am to 1pm! lol.

I guess I didn't realize you got a job! That is great. You probably posted about it, but me and my 26 year old brain forgot. You are going to be so good. Those pet owners have no idea how lucky they are to get you to watch their pets. Is it on the weekends?

Yeah I got the job! I actually don't think I posted about it because PetSmart called me while I was on my vacation in Montana! lol.
Thank you so much! I am going to try my best to make the animals feel safe and happy at night. I know how terrible it is for them, my cat hates when I'm gone. Now I have to try to talk my sister into letting my cat sleep with her at night since I'm gone 10pm to 6am! My cat can't sleep alone outside a room because my moms cats beat it up.

Congratulations! I am happy for you! I can see that you really love animals (you wrote a few articles in helium too!). That would be a great job for you if you have a passion on animals. That reminds me that I have to get a new job early next year too! Not sure what I would like to do but it would definitely be fun to explore different opportunities.

Yeah, I do love animals and I write about them anywhere possible! =P I like to write fiction and there is always an animal present in the story lol.
It took me FOREVER to find this job, and I only did because my dad went there and then told me about it lol. I was so stressed trying to find something I would want to do, hopely it's easier for you! :)

*laughs* It's really good for you to have found something you love to do! It would be hard for me because I know I won't be interested working. I just want to hide and write my beauty stuff *laughs*. I will practice more on that and hopefully one day my dream would come true! Hey I am really happy for you and wish you good success with your job on 28th!

*laughs* That would be really wonderful but I am not sure if I have enough knowledge. I would take this career break to try out different things and see what I love best too! Gonna be fun!
