We live in a compound of four families. My brother, father and other relatives. We are doing fine and I like being with other relatives around. How about you, do you like living with your relatives?

About 5 years ago.. I used to live with my extended family.. And that is namely, my dad, dad, brother, my grandmother and grandfather. 5 aunts.. 3 uncles.. and about 13 cousins.. Yeah.. It's nice living with your extended family.. But from my experience and maybe you can even relate to this.. I often feel so annoyed with the noise,.. my little cousins playing outside and shouting at each other.. my aunts fight verbally against each other.. some cousins argue about little things. When I want to study, I can't concentrate because of some noise.. But even with the setbacks, I still am happy to experience living with my extended family.. Even though my family moved to another place and left our relatives there.. I know that deep inside, we left our hearts. We are still a family. and I just miss them all. :(

Yes I know what you mean. I'm a working mom and the weekends are the only time I can rest, but of course you can with all the noise. You are right again when you said they are still family. I wouldn't exchnage it for the world.

After I got married, I was staying with my in-laws for about 5 years. I did not like it at all because I find that there's no privacy. I could not do what I liked. Moreover, my father-in-law smokes and I could not stand the smell while my mother-in-law is not very particular about cleanliness. I'm very glad when I could finally move out.

Oh, living with in-laws are a different thing. I love my In-Laws, but I rather visit them from time to time than live with them. I understand your point.

Oh my dream is to one day win the lottery (hahaha) and buy many acres of land and build houses for my husband and I and our children and their families. The houses would not be too close to each other but close enough to see them and the grandkids and easy access for the grandkids to come visit anytime they wanted to. I am the type of person who hates to be alone so this would be the idea thing for me. I do envy people with big families and who get to see each other often.
